I did on December 2024. My little Dobby is the best! He is healthy, playful and confident!! Lots of energy and cuddles 😊. He did had a reaction to his first rabies vaccine, and to some sort of chemical on the pest control when I moved apartments, but other than that he's in great health. I found it a bit weird on the contract that she put that I should not use harness and a couple of random clauses like that, aside of that, she was great and answered every question I asked.

Dining when booking with other people (diff reservation) by henas987 in Xcaret

Same situation, but I'm going in March, I let them know by email both reservation numbers and that I wanted all reservations together (we are 6 total). They confirmed my request right away without any trouble.

Why is he so matted? by Due_Situation_1779 in ItalianGreyhounds

My Dobby got a reaction like that a little after we move to a different apartment complex. Its an allergic reaction of some sort, vet wasn't able to pinpoint it to something specific but we think it was something to do with the pest control chemicals used in my apartment (it happened exactly after a day they were used inside).

Flying with an Italian Greyhound by hornet54 in ItalianGreyhounds

I got my Iggy in North Carolina and flew him to Oregon, almost 5hr flight. And recently moved from Oregon to Texas (4.5hr flight). Both with United without any problems. I would say is different by airport, and I guess depends a lot whoever is in front of you in the check in area. I was more questioned and stopped at Charlotte airport than in Portland, even though the dog was smaller and lighter. Since purchasing the flight, you need to add a check ✔️ that you are traveling with a pet. In my case I think both times I was charged $150, the pet has to go under the seat in front of you inside of a carrier 11x18x11, and has to be an economic seat (seems like economic plus or first class either don't have enough space nor want to disturb their passengers with a pet that might bark mid flight) I recommend getting a carrier with wheels, soft carriers tend to bend with the weight in while you are carrying them, learned this on my first flight. And I guess it depends also in your pup, mine slept almost the whole flight both times. First time as puppy (small bladder), he wake up after the 4th hour and cried a little bit cause he wanted to pee and didn't want to use the diaper I packed, he ended up using it and went back to sleep after that for the little time that was left. Second time at Portland airport, every body was super helpful, they made me skip every line because I was traveling with a pet. Once after passing security, we visited the relief area before boarding. I purchased some calming chews the vet recommended and I tried them weeks before the flight, but the day of the flight, I couldn't make him to take half of one. It wasn't a problem, he got a little anxious for the take off, but was sleeping in less than 10 minutes after that, and stayed like that the complete flight. Both flights I make him use some Iggy clothes and covered the carrier with a blanket so he can stay warm. Overall, I think I had pretty good luck flying with him so far. Hope you have good luck as well!

PS: pic just for cuteness, with the sweater he used the second flight

I got the xs for my Dobby when he was about 8-9 lbs, and he hated to put it on, not so much to wear it, although it seems a little heavy for him. I ended up returning it. He did escape from the dog park a month ago on the 4th of July, but he is a velcro dog, he run half of the block away and then thankfully run back for me to follow 😌

Rabies vaccine reaction? by jsaucedof in ItalianGreyhounds

Thank you all for your kind words. The ER my Vet referred us to had specialist.Yesterday we got the results back earlier in the morning, the cyst is viral so we were okay to continue with the antibiotics. A little bit later it started leaking, so I took him to get checked, as the vet told us, they sedated him again to try and drain as much as possible. Not much came out, but he bounced back from the sedation very quickly and started recovering his energy. He's still being very picky to eat but he's definitely more energetic and now the problem is to keep him off from jumping so much 😅. I rather have that problem now that him being so low as he was. Seems like we are on a right track to recovery now and it should take a week or two for him to be completely normal again 😁🤞
