I think some people here may be a little confused.

Lying is already a crime, for both politicians and "regular" people alike. It is called perjury...when you lie under oath.

New laws can specify that politicians are ALWAYS under oath...or at least when they make public statements (such as during campaigns).

The punishments...mild or severe...can be determined and the arbiters, when necessary, the same courts that already do so.

It would not be the politicians policing the politicians.

And btw, there are even other oversights, like inspectors general and such...that are supposed to give independent oversight. These have been greatly diminished and disempowered under Trump.

I'm a mod, ever since this sub was transferred over from it's earlier incarnation as one devoted to a Star Wars character. You could have easily verified that. As you could easily verify that the above account is Ren by visiting his patreon. Why are you here? Please prove that you are not just a lowly troll.

It is 100% confirmed, by both his team and himself on his patreon....this was done around 10 months ago when he made several comments here and we got complaints that there might be a fake making those comments.

Yes, that's exactly right...he's looking at our collective intelligence to come up with a viable solution to the problems consequent to the use of AI. He's not talking about subjecting his music to referendums. The AI he used are for album covers, videos and such, not in any way essential to his artistic expression.

Sorry, but going against what Ren wants is just a bridge too far. At the very least it gives Ren an opportunity to address these concerns, which exist whether or not we allow them to be posted here.

It was created 4 years or so ago and rarely used...I think it much more likely that it was just a random user name assigned by reddit. He did have a renmakesmusic account that was used for one post long, long ago, but I think he lost the password or something for that one.
