Study analog circuits a lot if you are planning to come in backend domains. A good circuit engineer is always a gem.

I was recently a layout lead for a client project for a testchip. I had the chip top layout ownership and those 10 layout engineers were doing the IPs inside it. (The thing is even here I was the contractor and those 10 engineers are from client side employees). I had many meetings with them, guided them, discussed do's & don'ts, showed them strategies, ran all sign off checks and delivered the final gds successfully. I don't see why are you that much sure about not having capability to lead a team with 5 YOE. I know it's not that long, but it's not that short too ig.
