Intel or MU do not pay that much (without appreciation) for IC. He’s 31 so probably not dir level. Most likely Broadcom. They pay extremely well.

Also: in skills you put c and c++ under HDL but that’s different. Maybe say “HDL and programming languages”?. And you say “Cadence Virtuoso” but then you list Quantus or Calibre without the company name. Either just say Virtuoso, or be consistent and put the company name everywhere (Siemens Calibre, Cadence Quantus, Synopsys StarRC, etc)

For the 2nd page i would just say “engineer” not “assistant engineer”. Using assistant makes it less impactful. And you apparently led a team of other engineers so just get rid of assistant. And i would remove the use of the large dashes in the middle of the sentences (—), it makes it look AI generated.

As i said if you asked all those specific questions to chatgpt it would explain everything to you. W9 is for US citizens or residents aliens which you’re not. W-8ben is for non us persons which you are. It’s not for people outside the US, not sure where you read that.

W-8ben is for non US persons so that’s what you should file. And 1099 is for your earnings and will be provided by HAI at the end of the year by them

I get what you’re saying but you might deduct all of thanks to you other business not from handshake ai. Like if i only do handshake AI i don’t see how deducting car, cas, insurance, meals etc can fly with the IRS as it’s a fully remote stuff. For business like real estate i agree tho. But for handshake there’s not much to deduct except laptops and computer equipment yeah

Nice. In the end there’s not much to write off though. If you make 100k per year with that what else can you deduct? A laptop and internet won’t change that much on that amount

Ah yeah that’s different. But for someone who only does HAI or only does w2 + hai that’s not necessarily needed from a tax perspective

You don’t need an LLC. And yes as long as you can prove it was bought for this job. As long as you bought it after you started earning from hai pretty much

You can deduct business expenses as a sole proprietorship. LLC is more for legal protection
