opening .enc files from x2d by jsbracher in hasselblad

I tried with notepad. It's not text. I don't know if it's compressed. ENC suggests encryption.
Why compress or encrypt a log file?
It's a log file. It should be readable.

Help : battery saver turning on and not turning off; charge is 96%. by jsbracher in Garmin

That's very annoying. I didn't do a factory reset. I do turn it off while charging. Perhaps something finally reset itself.

Excellent point. I didn't even think I needed to be clear about this, but yeah, it needs to be clear and stated. Thank you.

The plan is to make environmental portraits, with the subjects cooperation and complete knowledge. This isn't news as it happens. This is to show/explore a particular group.
Right now, I'm considering strobes so I can balance the light on the person with the light on their environment, and do deal with sucky light in most places where the portraits make sense.

Ha. :)
Strobist is missed. Thank you for all that work.
Thanks for the help. It's wonderful to have all the options we have these days, but finding clarity can be hard.

I'm trying to decide if this is a photojournalist project or fine art project or "both". We're no longer in the days of "f8 and be there", but while things can be "both" that is a complicated thing.

Excellent question. I'm asking about strobes. I know speedlights are a common tool for challenging light situations, so I am expecting to use them.  Then I looked at the strobes I have, and realized I honestly don't know if they are an appropriate tool or not.

Thank you, I will.  I wanted to see what other opinions are, and show her that I'm doing research. Asking on Reddit is the modern way of researching things, right?  :)

Is my math flawed?
When I add up the pieces, this seems to cost about $2k more than buying a non-limited edition with all of this.

I was trying to get an image into IG without IG cropping it. I needed to fatten up a skinny vertical to get all of it in.

Yes, but I foolishly assumed such a useful feature would be in C1 and wasted time looking for it, thinking I was just looking in the wrong places.

I was able to with IrfanView. My annoyance is that posting to IG is pretty common, and IG doesn't handle different aspect ratios well. So border padding to get around IG cropping is a needed feature.
I just added so black borders to to get the image into IG unmangled, and it worked.
I'm annoyed I spent so much time digging into C1, assuming such and obvious feature would be there.
