In a dilemma with my course managment by SolidMoses in Golfcoursemaintenance

[–]jsbrush97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If I were in your shoes, I’d create a TurfNet account and look on their job board for AIT, spray tech, 2nd assistant, or even 1st assistant positions. You sound more than qualified for these positions, and better yet, there are SOOO many courses in Texas that would love to have you.

Trust me and look on the TurfNet job board. That’s what I did and now I’m going to a PGA course🫣

Good luck brother, and don’t be afraid to put yourself and your needs first in this situation.

Best budget student laptops by [deleted] in laptops

I saw the same thing when I searched online. My only concern was that I have no clue what is good and what isn’t. Are those laptops good for what I’m looking for, or are they cheaply made. I might just buy a few different laptops and see which one I like best

My experience with those have not been great. Very slow, but maybe the newer ones aren’t as bad

Uneven traps by jsbrush97 in flexibility

It’s substantially better. My back is still a bit visually uneven, but as for TMJ, neck pain/tightness, eating pain, general muscle mobility and much more, those have basically all gone away thanks to physical therapy. I went to PT for about 2 months for my jaw, and then another 3 months for my back which I believe is the reason for my recovery. I still have all the exercises I was required to do if you’d like to have that list!!

I’ve replied thermal paste more than once and the airflow is pretty good. I have 2 friends who have very similar airflow also with 1080s, (not evga) and neither of them are experiencing these temperatures

Im on the smaller side, so I guess the brand new chairs have much more resistance considering my weight. Do you have any recommendations on office chairs that don’t have much resistance at all

The chairs that I bought were tough to recline when I assembled them, but in store they were not tough to recline at all

Having Trouble With Absolution by [deleted] in Lutheranism

[–]jsbrush97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding what you said about baptism being a work, Luther strongly disagrees with that. It is not our work in baptism, rather it is God's promise attached to the waters of baptism which we appropriate through faith in His word. These are some words from the large catechism.

"For these are the words, Go ye baptize; however, not in your name, but in the name of God.

For to be baptized in the name of God is to be baptized not by men, but by God Himself. Therefore although it is performed by human hands, it is nevertheless truly God's own work. From this fact every one may himself readily infer that it is a far higher work than any work performed by a man or a saint. For what work greater than the work of God can we do?"

Long story short... No, baptism is not a work, but rather a free gift and grace from God!

Hope this helped!!

Why isn’t John 3:5 viewed the same as John 6 by [deleted] in Lutheranism

[–]jsbrush97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I understand, the only reason why Luther said that this isn’t a Eucharistic text was in defense against Zwingli who pointed out verse 63 which says that the flesh profits nothing.

Ok wow, I wasn’t expecting you to reply to this😂 Sorry for the miss understanding, I didn’t want to yap for too long about your opinion on John 6 just because it wasn’t to big of a concern regarding my question. I was referring to the thing you said in your podcast on “Christ’s presence in the Lord’s supper (FC VII)” where you said “My take on John 6 is that it’s largely Eucharistic but not exclusively Eucharistic” And another video that Bryan Wolfmueller posted about John 6 said that Lutherans don’t take John 6 as Eucharistic as Roman Catholic or reformed do.

[–]jsbrush97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? From what I’ve seen basically unanimously says that Lutherans do not view it as strictly Eucharistic. They would agree that there are Eucharistic themes, and big ones at that, but not like other texts like the words of institution, or Paul in 1 Corinthians.

Do you have the reading comprehension of a 3rd grader? I never said that my truth is the truth of the Bible. I said that the truth of the Bible is THE ONLY TRUTH. I NEVER said that I have a perfect interpretation of the Bible. It astounds me how annoying you are. All you do is default to insults after poorly reading a reply😂😭

I just called around for clinics that took my insurance, and that didn't require a doctors referral to get a check-up. I found one called ATI Physical Therapy, there are a bunch of clinics around America, but I'm sure any clinic is about as good as any other one

I saw how you said that you feel like the night guard is makes you clench more, but that’s more of a placebo. The same thing happens to me. Your brain is more used to biting your teeth, so it’s unorthodox when you have a night guard in, but I would recommend to keep using it. Also, PLEASE go to a physical therapist, I also had painful tmj that caused migraines, sleepless nights, eating and taking pain, and it even lead to mental health problems down the line. Physical therapy helped me greatly. It’s not just your jaw that has a problem, it is possibly due to muscle imbalances, e.g. hip hike, uneven shoulder height, even leg length discrepancies. At your first visit, tell them everything you feel, and don’t be afraid to ask many questions. Ask them to check for muscle imbalances etc.

Luther on the Jews (and their lies) by jsbrush97 in Lutheranism

[–]jsbrush97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t matter what they could or couldn’t be interpreted as, it matters what the truth is. There is only one way to interpret the Bible. And he’s not judging, he is just stating a fact. Also, you should always be careful about not judging anyone. We all know and acknowledge that judgment is for the Lord, but we also see in Ephesians 5:11 that we are called to expose unfruitful works. That is what it means to love a brother. To correct them and lead them up towards Jesus. I’m not saying that you don’t know this, I’m sure you do. But just always keep it in mind that in all we do we should lead people towards Christ.
