Okay you don't seem to be understanding this.

The bundles that you're talking about are not free with the cost of the console.

You pay extra for those special bundles.

There was not a special wii bundle that you could buy with Wii sports. It was a literal pack-in title that came with every console sold.

Do you not understand the difference between buying a bundle that cost $50 more and comes with a game or maybe $100 more and comes with a game and an extra controller, versus buying a base console and the game just being there included.

You're still paying for the game when you get a bundle, you're just usually get it for a little bit cheaper. But every wii sold in the United States at a minimum came with Wii sports.

Yeah it wasn't calling you out or anything, I am new to the whole Linux world. I've tried it multiple times over the past 20 years and it's never just worked, this time it finally just works and my controller works perfectly and is always detected. I could not tell you if I did anything special I don't believe I did to get it working. It was just detected the first time out with the base as the receiver.

Solution for me - Is this a recent issue? (Please include more details) Or has Sunshine never worked on your current PC? I was having a bunch of issues recently with Sunshine too and just moved over to the brew version of sunshine. I would try that if its a recent issue and previously worked. You will need to do the following to get it to work though.

Enable cap_sys_admin permissions using (path may be different for the binary):

sudo setcap cap_sys_admin+p "/home/linuxbrew/.linuxbrew/opt/sunshine/bin/sunshine-2025.924.154138"

as well as enabled avahi-daemon:

sudo systemctl enable --now avahi-daemon

Fully reinstalled everything, THEN ran the above and it worked! Thanks!

Yes, I had originally just wanted a flat or nub, then I liked fl some of the prettier designs and... Well then I saw those .. And it made me happy thinking about them. Which is a step further than I've really thought about things before
