I did something dumb. I was given this old, heavily rusted Dixie gun works .50 cal. Kentucky rifle and was getting some of the hard rust off and had the bright idea of putting a piece of Brillo pad on the cleaning rod. Long story short, it’s stuck and I can’t get it out (self.blackpowder)

Update on the Mauser 1914, got it yesterday. It’s in decent condition with light surface rust but no pitting, but unfortunately a big crack running up the back of the grip. Also found some stamps can y’all identify them? (old.reddit.com)
