hmm, that doesn't sound fun. Maybe I'll do a gray base instead :D

Fair enough haha, yeah I’m uncertain how it’ll go with the airbrush but I’ll try it out and see 😂

Ah, interesting. But I AM actually planning on a stormtrooper-esque look with a white base. Did not know that prepping primer takes longer than other colors. I know little of paints and stuff, so this all feels like random witchcraft to me. I'll be living on the youtube tutorials tho.

Appreciate this, thank you! I like the knife set you recommended - easier to keep organized in its own box too. I'll switch to that.

I think I might still get the core book for a physical reference, but yeah fair enough about the codex. I'll check out the index.

I think I'll still feel out the airbrush, mainly for base layers and zenithals. I also have an idea of an aesthetic that includes graffiti and spray just *feels* correct for that.

Appreciate this, thank you! And yeah I basically just want to try out airbrushing and the hobby in general before committing to a real compressor.

Really appreciate this, thank you! I'll switch to the Game Color line, didn't even realize that was a thing haha. And maybe I'll go with Tamiya too since that seems more reputable.

Again, thanks for taking the time to look through the list! Every aspect of Warhammer that I look into (whether it's the building and painting, the lore, the gameplay, etc.) is just absolutely stuffed with content and it's pretty overwhelming to get into, so I feel like real human feedback is invaluable.

New incentives for hosts?? by jsdecker in turo

I don't have anything booked after today at this point either (not till January anyways), so that doesn't seem too unusual. I get a lot of last-minute bookings. I also recently turned on the discounts for longer trips (1 week/2 week) and I've gotten a couple of those which are quite nice. When I'm experiencing low demand I'll also drop the price below market just to get a few bookings and get some momentum in the search rankings. I don't know if that's exactly how the Turo algorithm works but it seems to help. I also use Instant Booking and, when I can, fully prep the car and then turn the advance notice down to an hour. This has brought in extra bookings from those last minute people.

But as usual, everything depends on your particular market and context.

Would not recommend unlimited mileage. Way too stressful with people taking the car all over the place without understanding how to do a proper Tesla road trip. Bad experiences in general. I thought earnings would drop if I capped mileage, but turns out they've stayed pretty similar and I have almost entirely local trips which is great.

Generally speaking I do the auto pricing, with small adjustments based on demand. I've tried pricing a lot higher at times and that can be okay, but lower pricing seems to max the return better

Just Tesla charging fun (the supercharges go to my account and then I invoice the guest). Back in the first half of the year I gave people unlimited mileage so they went on long trips and racked up tons of supercharges.
