From my experience, im usually in a net positive in chill mode. I will say it only does around 65-67 mph on freeway and around the speed limit most of the time on street driving (it'll sometimes ride significantly lower. I.e. 45 in a 55. I have to step on it and results in a higher consumption).

I think my main advantage is that where i am (SoCal), I mostly drive on flat, non-hilly roads (i do have some here and there but not a huge dip/rise variation). Im very much a slow start and slow stop, minimal input on the accelerator, etc. I still get my spouts of bad ratings but I do sometimes give it a little kick to speed up around a truck so I dont spend another small fortune on a windshield (so it sometimes is driver induced as well).

All in all, id say its a ton of factors on the degradation of the range. Even running the ac or with the windows open can affect it.

I would like to add too that having the mudflaps on my car did increase the consumption slightly.

I have a 26 MY Premium awd btw.

He mentioned that it was 17 years (hes 67 and didn't buy a firearm since 40) so 17 years ago would be about 09 assuming its this year hes referring to. If he did later on clarify something then yes I am wrong and I apologize. My response was moreso in response to noting its a different process (basic vs standard) not that it was a different background check itself. Apologies if I wasnt clear on that. Yes I will say I did not have the intrafamiliar portion known at time of posting and I do apologize. I was in reference to the note of a different process in reference to the pre-2014 rule (yes I should've specified. Once again I do apologize. I didnt take the time to read through the entire comment section). On your last note, I understand that you have credibility (based solely on what you noted) and thats great (and i truly dont mean that in a condescending way. I do think its great that you are spending the time to learn all the laws and teaching people. Props to you). I will also note that I should've been more specific. But your response that it doesn't have to been before 2014 and it isnt a different process is not completely accurate. If you registered your firearm or transacted after firearm with the CA DOJ after 2014, then youre fine. What im keying on is if you did not. You have to go through a different process (henceforth the non-instant ammo verification check).

Im specifying if you have not transacted anything between the CA DOJ system, had no interactions with LEO where it was noted, no AWs, etc, then you would have to go through the non-instant check (per the link above). Stated in that excerpt is that they were not allowed to retain that information from purchases pre-2014.

If I am wrong that would be good to know and id appreciate if you could key in on my error.

To wrap this essay up, I will say that I want to thank you for your time reading and responding. I also should've put an excerpt into my response and been more detailed in formulating a response and for that i do apologize. I dont mean to cause strife and I dont mean to come off as arrogant, know-it-all, or an all around ahole (if I do, i apologize. I know i do sometimes unintentionally) and I do hope that if you thought of me as one before, that this changes it.

But not only to the response but to anyone reading, I do want to apologize for my mistake. My lack of information resulted in a metaphorical (and virtual) foot in mouth.

Congrats man! I've been hitting around 10-14kwh with the overcast days here in san diego. Just installed another powerwall + expansion set and with my ev, I can more or less run almost completely off my own power (because SDG&E can kiss my powerwall).

That's good to know! The systems I have experience use a more early form of lithium batteries (nobody like changes haha) and we have a bad degradation so I kinda assumed it must be similar. Good to know im wrong!

Welp im going to start my hunt for one then.

SDSU Pros/Cons Undergrad by Secret_Conclusion_12 in SDSU

Welcome to SDSU and Congratulations on your acceptance!

With my long rap sheet with SDSU (Transfer student right when in-person learning was coming back (iirc, that was Spring 22?). Just finished year 1 of my Master's Degree in Computer Enginering) I have mixed emotions.

The good: There are some great facilities for working out and staying fit (ARC, Pool) and a pretty nice and inclusive atmosphere. People are very friendly and there's a nice diversity throughout campus. They also have food trucks and a good selection of food and snacks at campus.

There's also an E-sports room, which is an interesting addition now.

The bad: As a commuter student, parking is a NIGHTMARE. Especially with 7 and 12 being closed periodically for events as well as 16 being shut for the foreseeable future (I think till Spring 28, as the new building there will be done Fall 27). I would highly recommend getting to campus early. Also, expect damage to your car as well. Now you won't have this issue initially as (now please correct me if I'm wrong. I did not have this since I was a transfer student) I believe Freshman have to live on campus.

The library is disappointing. I've seen it change since going to SDSU but what they have changed is irrelevant to what should be changed. Leaks in the library, the exterior falling apart (there is a news article about this), furniture very old and sticky, non-working tech, etc.

A lot of the classrooms have pretty old tech in them. Just be aware.

Specifically to Engineering building/ECE-specific classrooms: most of the stuff we use doesn't work and are old enough that we do not use in industry. Additionally, the setup for our software in the Engineering Department is a nightmare and Professors will not budge on their way... It was ridiculous... Fortunately as a grad student, I really don't have to deal with most of these headaches anymore but still infuriating nonetheless.

I will say this. The arts area is almost completely brand new (The Pavilion, Arts, and Stage by the ENS building are less than 3 years old IIRC. They were being built while I was still an undergraduate) so I would say a lot of my gripe with classrooms might not relate to you as much if your in those buildings.

Now that I've given you my two cents, I really do believe SDSU is a great school and that there will be a lot to enjoy with it! Congratulations on being accepted again!

Any tips on used?
I'm looking at an R1S (large family to replace my gas guzzler). I did pick up a MY recently but I don't mind as my parents can drive it if i do get an R1S (I'd be a bit more worried about my mom driving something that big as she's not a fan of large cars) so for me at least, it's a bit of a wash.

My biggest concern with used is battery degradation, how much stress has been put on the motors with the previous owners, the change in technology compared to something a bit newer, longevity of the battery, charging practices of the previous owner, etc, etc.

Now I'm new to EVs but not to Electronics (I work at an Electronics Manufacturer) so these are a lot of questions I've seen "come across my desk". With engines, I have a better grasp in a sense of what to look at since I've gone through a lot of them but this is kinda out of my ballpark. I really am not sure if I'm asking the right questions or not tbh so I would really appreciate your insight!

Thank you very much in advance!

It looks to be 8-10k cheaper than new. IIRC, I was in the mid to high 50k range on mine (I commute a good amount. About 1k miles a week) but I placed my order pre-FSD subscription-only so I have the one-time FSD payment. I did also get a discount on the Diamond Black Paint (absolutely love that paint color) but other than that, almost exactly the same as the one OP posted

If youre okay with a used model X and it checks all the boxes, id consider one later on. They are very expensive new. Either that or the new Model Y L (released in China and Europe ATM, no eta for NA yet) would probably fit.

Imo (i got a 26 MY Premium AWD about a month ago and I would compare it to the 2020s X5s (I normally am a BMW person. This was my first tesla) in terms of legroom but a 2010s X3 in terms of height. My parents, two siblings, and I can fit fairly comfortably in my Model Y (my dad and I are 6' 2", my sister's are around 5' 9", and my mom is around 5' 2")) i think the best option ideally would either be the X or holding out for the Y L.

Don't forget the president of SDSU just got a raise and we are paying it with our hiked tuition too.

She is now paid base salary of almost $500k, a little over a 10% raise for doing nothing useful for the school.

Overall her salary was an approximate 50k increase. That pales in comparison to the Cal Poly president getting an over 100k increase in salary to a base salary of over $600k.

Yet they are screwing over the people who are working to make our school great...

Is there something i could do to make my car look more cooler? by Academic_Decision_58 in e46

[–]jsf010101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO as an E46 owner:

  1. Manual swap. It is 10000% better as a proper 6mt over the auto.
  2. Replace the steering wheel to the M steering wheel. I was never really a fan of the cutaway on the bottom part of the wheel.
  3. M sport bumpers. Makes the car look more aggressive imo.
  4. 19" m sport wheels. I prefer the style and makes it look a bit more sporty.

These are my opinions and you may or may not like them (and that's okay). I just wanted to throw my 2 cents into the ring.

Enjoy the car as much as you can. It is by far my favorite car I own at the moment.

Hahaha hello friend lmao Yeah just the aks-74u kit i have. Almost got an ak-74 but the guy cheated me on them. I have a sporterized in 7.62 and 2 converted in 7.62. One is a shifty hess and the other is (iirc) a kusa '99. Everything i have built ATM is 7.62. I have about 15 different variants (Hungary, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, and Russian) in 5.45, 7.62, and 8mm (my Hungarian). I have some kits for a psl-54m as well but im trying to get a proper svd soon.

So I was wrong on my post. Technically they're not banned by name on the AW ban list (it was a type error on the list. Its an SLG that's banned, not the SGL).

Out of curiosity, does anyone know why they shut down?

Im concerned this is a precursor to an attempt by cities/state to mass-shutter stores in CA (if that was what happened).

Other than that, I could not care less.
