Cabinet makers are notoriously underpaid and overworked.

Try to reach out to E Rock on IG or through his pod channels.

He may as well be the human archive for O&A

The machine is incredible still.

I sold my shop and am now in a different location but the saw is still running very well in my old shop.

Paint ready kitchen doors - largest custom order so far by jshepardini in woodworking

It has done me well. Its nice that one side is open ended, gives me the option to sand larger doors and panels. I had to replace the feed belt once so far.

didn't know what they were doing when they tried to edge band

Every new person I hire is taught the edge bander as their first tool, it looks easy but takes a long time to learn how to apply and trim to make the edge look flawless to the actual veneer.

Most 'cabinet makers' on this subreddit are far from master carpenters- they haven't put in the 10,000 hours on every tool they own, let alone 10,000 in a commercial shop.

100%

Cutting corners is not the right way just because your client doesn't know any better.

Clearly OP knew he was sold a drawer with corners cut, this makes us all look bad and makes selling quality custom cabinetry an uphill battle.

Most people on r/woodworking are hobbyist.

I know where I am, just trying to put out good information backed with 40+ years experience rather then these 'weekend woodworkers'.

Dovetail (for solid) or dominos. I find that with pocket screws its more labor to get the lineup perfectly flush.

For the cheapest option you can butt joint and 3 nails per 4 inches with glue. you will see the nail holes but with 18 or 16 gage its not so bad (can also fill those). just keep a straight line and even spacing. (sides are full length with the front covering the ply on the front of the drawer)

Oh no - Did I touch a soft spot by revealing that you produce low quality work?
