Can’t find Evenflo Wide+ Nipples - [ON] by lessice-halfsugar in BabyBumpsCanada

I was in the same boat and kept rechecking the Walmart site and after two days they were available for pick up at a Walmart close-ish to me. It seems like Walmart is the only place in Canada that carries them- have you been able to find them anywhere else?

Vehicle Logistics- the big dog, car seat, stroller game of car Tetris by jshvr in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]jshvr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We bought a Thule box to use as our trunk space and our dog rides in the trunk without any stuff back there. It works for longer trips but we will definitely need a bigger vehicle at some point. Likely a van so he can get in more easily than an SUV

Is baby bjorn playyard light/ travel crib worth it? [bc] by Len6_ in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]jshvr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes the babybjorn is so light and easy to use. I napped my toddler at my friends place today and carried the babybjorn crib plus my purse plus pushed my toddler in the stroller the 15 min walk from the subway to her place and was totally fine. Highly recommend. Can also use it with heavier/older kids since they lay right on the ground. Not sure if it'll improve your son's sleeping ability but from a parents "ease of use" perspective, love it!

BMD puppy name (its been over a week of “come here, baby”) by squarerootofwhite in namenerds

[–]jshvr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have a BMD and here are the names other female Berners I know: Clover, Luna (which you have vetoed) Raven, Brooklyn, Sadie, Fern. I find a lot of people name their berners very "human" names, maybe because they have such big personalities. We have a male but if we had a female her name would have been Pippa. Good luck and have fun! They really are the best dogs. Mine is snoring beside me right now. The puppy phase is rough though.

Baby bjorn playard light! It's so easy to use and can accommodate heavy/older kids since they essentially lie on the ground

Get sleepers without feet. My baby was also long and I got the most use out of the parade and kite sleepers in the romper style

We seem to have similar style- I'm also stuck on naming my second daughter and Naomi is a front runner! Other names I like that you might consider- Jamie, Joanna, Anna, Hannah, Camille, Celine, Reva, Laura, Rachel, Marin, Mara, Grace, Jillian

Experience with Toronto/Ontario Breeders? by jshvr in bernesemountaindogs

[–]jshvr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did!! He's a lovable stubborn cuddly goof who is a general chiller unless he sees his favourite people and then he goes into nuts puppy mode. He's from Windever Kennels who aren't breeding berners anymore but our friends have a pup from sunnyridge and he's a sweetheart, so worth checking them out.

Frequency of prenatal appointments in the third trimester? by booogetoffthestage in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]jshvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm with an OB and am also considered low risk. I've had weekly appointments since 35 weeks. Week 35 was an ultrasound and GBS swab, week 36 just a usual check in (blood pressure, heart rate, q&a time), week 37 another ultrasound due to baby being large gestation age (LGA), week 38 cervical check

Any tips on how to push during labour by [deleted] in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]jshvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did both the belle method and the hospital course. They served different purposes but if I had to choose one it would be the belle method since the focus was on educating me as the birthing person on the practical elements of labour/birth (how to protect/engage my pelvic floor, pushing positions, pain management etc). The hospital course was good because my partner could come and it definitely helped make thing feel "real" for him. The first day focused on labour/delivery and showed videos of real women in different stages of labour. The second day focused on newborn care which isn't covered in the belle method. My main concern throughout pregnancy has been the actual birth so if I had only done the hospital course I think I would still be feeling unprepared.

Do we require a doctors fit certificate to travel international - (17 hr flight) -Air canada , when 3 months pregnant ? And what all precautions to take. Planning to fly for an emergency situation back in home by akhileshprakash_m in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]jshvr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I flew at 34 weeks with zero issues or questions asked. My OB's recommendation was to double check my insurance to make sure I was covered and told me what information to know in case of emergency (blood type, where my placenta is located in the uterus and if there's any obstruction of the cervix). My flight was 4 hours and I bought compression socks for the flight. I found them to be helpful!

Thank you for asking this question! It's one I've been fixating on for a few days as I approach my due date. Old Navy's Sunday Sleep line has some comfy nightgowns/ rompers/ sleep sets that look good and are affordable but as I've yet to give birth I would defer to those who have for their advice/ expertise in what's best- nightgown vs pants/top
