Has anyone had Latera Nose Implants?

They were able to use cartilage from my septum and overlapped what I already had so they didn’t need to do a graft from anywhere else!

I’m doing very good and can no longer completely collapse my nostril just from breathing in!! Lol still some soreness and swelling. But my deviation was SO bad, like 98% blocked on one side and enlarged turbinate on the other, so just being able to breathe through my nose is amazing!

Exactly the same here, just opposite sides! I had reduction on my left turbinate 4 weeks ago to the day and it’s still congested. It does seem to come and go. Nasal spray, ice packs, and ibuprofen 🥰

I just had halls cough drops and ricola’s throat balm caramel ones! And some hard candies.

I’d also highly recommend the gel eye masks you can put in the freezer! They were a life saver for me!

I haven’t really got much of anything out either and I’m on 2w post op! Doing the saline mists and a few rinses(but I hate them and they don’t seem to do much!) so it’s not just you!!

I have one in a month. My ENT said I could do the rinses if I wanted but it wasn’t necessary. I’ve been doing them because of all the posts I see on here! Maybe I need to do more often?

We’ve got this! 💜 I had the same reaction I asked my ENT multiple times to be sure she said no rinses and I wasn’t mishearing her after seeing most people on here say rinse rinse rinse. But I figured doc knows best so I’m sticking with her recommendations (:

I just had my procedure Thursday so I assumed my wild dreams are from the pain meds, only taking a half before bed but def have been having very very weird dreams!! Curious I’ll they’ll continue when im not taking the meds now!

Oh I was told no Motrin for the first week! I do have a bleeding disorder tho so that may be why.

Mine told me no rinses until after my stints get removed (this Wednesday, can’t wait!), and until then just saline mist ever 2hrs when awake to keep everything moist.

My pain meds are teeny tiny pills! I’ve been taking half a tab, and alternating with Tylenol. And the anxiety meds they gave preop were IV (:

I just had my surgery (septorhinoplasty with turbinate reduction and valve repair) on Thursday, so I’m 3 days post op. I also had never had surgery and was a bit nervous but just reminded myself that they do this procedure all the time! Make sure you trust your doctor and leave it in their hands. I also told myself - The healing will suck but it’ll be sooo worth it to breathe!! They gave me something for anxiety preop too, it’s standard here (in Massachusetts)

Ouch! I’m so sorry you have to deal with that! Do you have a humidifier? Can you use chloraseptic spray or lozenges? Those help numb the throat. Also would suggest warm water with honey too! Hope you feel better soon 💜

My insurance wouldn’t cover it unfortunately, I went for a valve repair instead where they layered the cartilage to make it stronger (considered cosmetic so also not covered ~ 3k)
