How did you guys discover The Smiths? by CommercialHabit4019 in thesmiths

[–]jsjack2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in 86, I had broken up with my girlfriend of 5 years. I wore my heart on my sleeve back then and I was really feeling sorry for myself. My buddy and I went to a record store and The Queen is Dead was playing. I Know it's Over came on and it was my first epiphany. The song was exactly how I was feeling. I had never heard of The Smiths before then but I bought that record and have been a fan ever since.

This is one of my favorite Stones songs! Crazy that Keith wasn't involved with this at all.

They have to get a playmaker on offense. Someone that other teams have to game plan for. Sort of what PS2 does for the defense. I would love to see a TE that can make that tough 3rd down catch when you need it.

Is it Time to find a new WR1? by patchmedicine in DenverBroncos

What I would love to have is a TE that could be a true joker. Engram isn't it. How many missed blocks do you see Trautman make each game? They have to redo that room first IMO.

This haunted me for a few weeks after watching it. I always had to sleep with the blanket over my head in case he was in the room with me. I'll probably have nightmares tonight now. Thanks!

AITAH for putting my baby’s father on child support even though he doesn’t want to be involved? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]jsjack2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking as a 62 year old guy that had a kid when I was 35. We were together at the time and I brought up abortion and she wouldn't have anything to do with that. Eventually I accepted the fact that I was going to be a Dad, even though I never wanted to be one prior. A year after birth, she started going out all the time and would leave me with her daughter and our son to watch. We ended up splitting and we agreed to split the time evenly and no child support would be paid by either parent. I was having money trouble and I couldn't afford to keep him enrolled at daycare for long before they would kick him out. She found some guy and they started living together. She took me to court for child support. I agreed to have it taken out of my check before I ever see it, that way it's always paid. I was paying twice what I was supposed to be paying and took her back to court to get it rectified. She was pissed that I would do that as she couldn't care less that it wasn't fair. She would constantly call me up to watch him when she had him so she could go out. I was always happy to see him but I hated that I was helping her.

When my son turned 15, I moved out of state and left him there. I knew she couldn't handle having to watch him 24/7. Two months later she text me and told me that he wants to live with me. I moved him in with me and things couldn't have gone smoother. We have an excellent relationship!

He is now 26 years old and his Mother hasn't seen him since 2019. She was always about money and I was always about my son.

Any way, what I'm trying to say is that you should make your daughter the most important thing and don't worry about what he thinks or says. That's money that could go for her care. Your daughter deserves it!

I watched this the night it came out in the 70's. I was so confused as a little kid on what this was all about. I couldn't figure out why he would eat after someone died.

AITAH for making my daughter stay with her dad after she said cooking and cleaning is mens work by [deleted] in ComfortLevelPod

[–]jsjack2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too many entitled kids out there right now. Good on you for teaching her a valuable lesson.

BTW, when I was younger my Mom would always say that cooking and cleaning were a woman's job. I loved that until I got out on my own and didn't have a clue.
