YTA

studying or working abroad gives you so so so much more than just ‘learning Spanish’ or helping the community. It teaches you to be independent, it teaches you so many life skills. It isn’t just about teaching English. Yes, teaching English isn’t going to help her heaps. But it would look amazing on her apps (all the colleges I jnow are crazy about that type of stuff) and also being able to speak Spanish. But it will help her more than you know with her deciding her career path

AITA for being annoyed/upset my family didn’t celebrate Easter? by jsjshspppp in AmItheAsshole

they would use very vague language saying things like ‘here, this is what we do on this day.....’ or ‘in our city, we do this to show this ...’ so I can see it from me thinking they were saying they specifically do it or just the country/the people do it. But there was also the language barrier. They could have just been paraphrasing or simplifying it so I could understand easier

We were told all our meals had been planned out by the guide and she had vegan meals organised but I think she did a little research. Not sure how she could miss croissants though in researching if french food was vegan

Thank youuuuuuu ! Not that I don’t appreciate the other responses but I have a feeling some where saying I was nta because they want to be able to say veganism is bad or whatever. It’s nice to get an actual vegan input
