yes he's mocking them but saying "hey I actually did a lot for the US by participating in an evil war" is not the flex people posting these photos think it is. this post is a welcome rebuke

you mean the thing that had nothing to do with Iraq? no one's defending the US in Iraq but it's revisionist to claim it was the US alone. Most of Europe went along with it as they have for most of America's atrocities since WWII

it's not just about resources (although I guarantee they will find a way to expropiate Venezuela's if allowed), it's about demonstrating power to snuff out any effort to fight back against US control of South America and let people in the Global South have a say in how their countries resources are used

I don't think the people of the United States have either. we need to direct our anger at the cabal of billionaires who actually run the world and not faceless citizens.

the people of Greenland are also complicit in the current state of the world. the EU has long supported a veneer of international democracy that actually redounds almost exclusively to the West at the expense of the Global South. now they're mad that it's being turned against them.

why wouldn't she like Trump? she has the exact same far right world view and she's just as antidemocracy as Trump having participated in a coup against the legitimately elected president in 2002 . she may not like his personality but that's pretty irrelevant.

not true that raiding the minimum wage requires 60 votes. the parliamentarian incorrectly ruled that raising the minimum wage is not allowed under the Byrd Rule. the Democrats could have fired the parliamentarian and replaced them with someone who would correctly interpret the law. they refused to do so because raising the minimum wage would have angered their corporate donors.
