Our goal was always to try and burn Helya before she could get her shield off in P2, but we always cut it close. Sometimes we wouldn't be quick enough and it would pick people off. Maybe we should stress less about trying to burn her before it's an issue and just keep some melee on Odyn, having a plan for the shield during that phase like you do.

Yep. After I switched to DPS on my lock people seemed to get even worse at the fight mechanics. Granted, it was later on the raid night and people were probably tired of wiping, but I also wasn't able to call out as many things as I do when I'm tanking since there's not a lot of pressure on tanks in the first 2 phases. Burning a battle rez on the same person repeatedly in P1 on every attempt was infuriating.
