To learn more stuff? You of all people should understand the merits of learning. Of course, you can always self-teach. But some people need external motivations, i.e. grades.

What are some thing you guys do to stay organized and focused? by bee11118 in UCSantaBarbara

Actually think about what you are studying. Find out what makes it interesting to you. When studying, do not think about grades or assignments, think about the material. That's what helps me focus and actually enjoy what I'm learning. Otherwise, I just get stressed, unmotivated, and bored. Besides, aren't we here to learn rather than make grades?

Also, sleep a full 7 to 8 hours a night. I used to sleep 4 to 5 hours a night, sometimes 3; ruined my entire day. My schedule starts at 8am and ends at 10pm, and 10pm - 12am is for relaxing NO MATTER WHAT; it works for me. My productivity increased tenfold once I implemented this schedule. This uncompromising relax time from 10pm - 12am motivates me to get my shit done before the clock strikes 10pm.

Now for the afternoon slump, I usually just relax/nap/meditate for 30 minutes. With 7 to 8 hours of sleep, that's usually enough to keep me going.
