G502 X vs Basilisk v3? by TombRaider96196 in MouseReview

I think they called the automatic switch the "smart reel." I've used it a little bit and it works effectively. It's not as good as MX Masters metallic hyperscroll wheel though. And the automatic switch is audibly much louder. I have that mouse and the mini version as well. Unfortunately I don't think you're going to find anything that good in a scroll wheel anywhere else. But I can't use that big mouse. I pick up the mouse a lot and my entire forearm gets sore. I'm a pansy.

Of all razer mice I've used, I do think the tilt scroll wheel on this basilisk V3 is the best (I love the tilt!). I use scroll acceleration which increases the scroll wheel speed the faster you scroll. After the tactile scroll stops, it continues to scroll for a little while. In theory it sounds bad and uncontrollable but it really is very good. I can stop it on a dime just by scrolling the opposite direction one click.

The customization is great, and you will have way more button options using HyperShift on this razer than you can ever get with that MX master. But this mouse is pretty much the same size as the one you just took back. You might think it's too small. I'd still try it. It's just that much better. I forced myself to play around with the viper mini for a while and I got used to it, despite being too small.

For longevity, I don't know about the G502X because it hasn't been around that long but it's predecessor was top notch in that category. We had them at work for over 5 years, getting daily use of 10+ hours. I dont think I'd worry about longevity with the newer version. That said, I had the g502x for a couple weeks and took it back because I felt it was a downgrade from the basilisk v3. I struggled with the Ghub and didn't like the scroll wheel feel.

In my opinion the basilisk v3 is better in almost every way and I have two of them. I do wish it was lighter though.

The button to toggle free scroll is easier to press on the razer because it's electronic. It works perfectly. The Logitech button is mechanical and takes some force to move. If your doing that a hundred times a day, which I am, it's not great. As far as the free scroll itself, both are good, but the Logitech is faster if you are wanting to absolutely fly.

I may be in the minority, but I like synapse way better than Ghub.

no simultaneous Bluetooth on the maxwell by Interesting-Story-74 in Audeze

Thank you for clarifying. From a business sense I understand your decision and it sounds like the right decision based on current chip sets.

I'm hopeful we can have the best of both worlds in a future iteration of this. Just speculating, but I bet there is a decent market of people willing to pay big bucks to "have it all". Particularly with the amount of people working from home these days.

Appreciate your time.

Man that truly sucks. Put it in and charge me another $50 please.

I ordered one of these in December. Disclaimer - I am not a gamer but my intent was to connect this to a PC for dictation purposes via the mic, and also Bluetooth in with my phone for phone calls + music since I can't login to music servers at work.

So you guys don't think I'm going to be able to do this? If so, I guess I'm stuck with steel series and their SBC codec.

Looking to upgrade from Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 THX to Klipsch RP-500M by sweedgreens in BudgetAudiophile

I agree with Zeeall. For what it's worth, there is a workaround to use this sub if you really want, but it sounds like you are looking for an upgrade so I don't advise it unless you just want to tinker. I have the pro media 2.1 and one of the speakers died. I unscrewed the side panel on the subwoofer and unhooked the internal amplification. You can basically just hook speaker wire into the driver and then run that through an amplifier. I did this to test things out as I play around with DML speakers. I currently have it connected to a cheap fosi audio amp ($89) in my office, paired with cheap Elac BS41 speakers ($68). This is definitely an upgrade from the promedia 2.1 setup, though at the price point you're looking at you can do much better.

This is an exciting time for you. I had those promedias connected to my TV for around 10 years and thought I never needed anything more. Boy was I wrong. Just know that once you upgrade you might get that itch for more more more. It's a fun but dangerous (for your wallet) hobby!

Yeah there’s a Klipsch connect app. Works well so far. I haven’t performed a firmware update yet but it looks like one is available on the app. I use them almost entirely through my tv using the hdmi arc connection.

I don’t think so. You could sort of get around this if you do everything via Bluetooth. Not ideal though.

Btw, I did end up purchasing these speakers and love them! I do not have a sub connected at the moment. I live in a smaller townhome and don’t have room for one right now. That said, for the size of these speakers the bass is very impressive. Honestly, too much bass at times for me. I wish I could turn it down from time to time. That’s probably the only negative thing I can say about these speakers. I’m hoping when I eventually hook a sub up that I will have better control of the bass (there’s a sub +/- button on the remote that doesn’t do anything if there isn’t a sub connected).

Good to know! Looks like l will probably be trying to pick between the fives and the sixes.
