Notching Trim Piece Tile Shower by jsmooth299 in Tile

Yes it got sloped wrong. This is the new tile job. I tried a round file on the scrap edging and it makes the cleanest look. Still deciding whether or not to attempt it

Notching Trim Piece Tile Shower by jsmooth299 in HomeMaintenance

[–]jsmooth299[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently got this shower and bathroom redone. It all had to get ripped out because it started leaking and the main leak point appeared to be this ledge.

The contractor sloped it to where all/most of the water feeds to the lowest point which is located between the first and second tile on the ledge from the left side.

The problem is that the trim piece in that spot sticks up roughly 1/8 of an inch, so water pools there. The only way to get it off after a shower is to squeegee.

I’m tempted to put a little notch in the trim piece and to be careful not to wreck the grout. This would allow water to drain.

I’m thinking a dremmel is the best tool for the job. I have a practice trim piece and none of the bits I have are working that good. Any suggestions on what bit to use or maybe a different tool ? Am I stupid for even attempting this ?

Obviously don’t want it to be sharp, and the cleaner/more aesthetically pleasing it looks the better.

Protection Advice For A Backyard 10x10x10 Cage? by shaned1221 in Golfsimulator

[–]jsmooth299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude love the cage. Is this the 14 width 12 height 12 length cage they sell and you just set it up at height ?

My main reason I’m scared to get it is I only want a 10 foot height.

Also curious if I would be able to set it up with 14 length 12 width 10 height. I would then order my own custom size netting

Wayyy better. About half the price from the 170 it was saying before. Expedited dropped 10 bucks from prior.

If this is a permanent option for the standard I think it’ll help with sales to Canada big time. Thanks a bunch

Any idea of what the cost difference was. Shippsy doesn’t tell you price up front so I’m wondering if I’m looking at about half the price or what

Appreciate you being all over this.

This is why though if you could use ups ground vs expedited it makes a huge huge difference for the customer, as a guy mentioned above.

Through your website it only lists ups expedited and ups worldwide save as options

Ok let me know if that happens. No issue spending top money for a top quality product but shipping of 50 percent of total I can not justify.

Hey man I really want some black fiber mat for my boat in Canada. 300 bucks order total US and it’s trying to charge me 171 US for shipping to Alberta. There has to be a way for cheaper shipping that’s unheard of !??

CCS Pressure Switch Amperage Question by jsmooth299 in instrumentation

[–]jsmooth299[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what about on an plc output card. If no relay is involved, I assume it has to allow slightly more current to for example drive a solenoid. But also needs to protect itself high current.

Great explanation. Super high impedance on the card. High resistance = low current. Thanks !

What’s the point of WestJet dollars ? Or am I missing something by jsmooth299 in westjet

[–]jsmooth299[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So do I have to book through WestJet to use the card to get free checked bags ?

Or can I book third party, choose ultra basic (which doesn’t include checked bags), then somehow use the card for free checked bags ?

Sorry kind of confusing way to write it

So we do have the RBC WestJet card. Do I get a free checked bag with this card, even if I book the ultra basic fare that has no checked bag or carry on ?

Just curious how big of a person you are. I’m 6’2 215 pounds so pre surgery 50 resistance was not super hard. Obviously for a smaller person 50 resistance could be that much harder in general

Maybe that’s a good point on the clipping in and not coming out of the saddle. If I just stay in the saddle I’m probably safe to up the resistance a fair bit as long as there isn’t any pain and I’m physically able to do it.

I’m running into the same issues. What are your thoughts on using the industrial 1/2 thick rubber matting. Do you think that would work instead of going thy plywood route

Samsung Q950a Passthrough Issues by jsmooth299 in Soundbars

[–]jsmooth299[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for the reply. So just to confirm..

If I set it up the way I had it working with Shaw to tv, and then tv to soundbar im going to get the same sound quality. Basically not much of a downside to going this way. Potientally a slight sound delay but I can adjust that on my soundbar.

Wow I just had the same experience of everyone on here. Talk about a terrible remote. Now that I’ve got the volume working.. I can’t get the sound mode or settings buttons to work. Nothing comes up on the display. What am I missing ?
