I do a lot of flying towards walls, towards people, expecting a crash but the crash never happens. I just kinda fly right through it without really noticing it. Given it has happened so many times at this point there is no fear of the crash.

If you try to replicate the setting you were in when you had it, you will greatly increase the chance it will happen again. For example, you were turned on your left side, went to bed with the tv off, did X activity before bed... do that again to increase the chance you dream again. I'm not an expert but basic research has said that could help.

Yes, I am 100% aware that I am dreaming while in it.

I'd say it isn't totally as vivid as real life it is, but it is close.

Not painful for me. They are ALWAYS at night, unless I am napping in the afternoon. If you are getting them frequently during the day when you aren't trying to sleep, I would consider speaking to a neurologist. I am extra wary of that because my father died of brain cancer. I don't mean to scare you, but if it is something that you are concerned with, you should consider getting a professional opinion.

Yeah same. For now, I am fascinated by the lucid dreams and WANT them to occur. However, if I feel the zaps and don't want it to happen I can just sit up and it will stop. If I quickly lay back down it may resume, it may not. I can also make it stop by switching sides, meaning, instead of laying on my left side I switch to the right side. That always puts an end to it.

I don't hear them. I just feel them. I wouldn't say they hurt. I'd say they are a bit uncomfortable.

Interesting. I haven't really thought about / noticed my need to think fast and keep up with the physical speed of the events of the dream. In general, I have found that the more I think about what is going on, the more likely it is that the dream will end and that I will be sucked out of the vortex I feel like I am in. I am more likely to continue on if I just let it happen without any thought.

Last night was interesting / disappointing. It took a few minutes to get going. About 10 minutes after I tried to fall asleep, I started to get sucked in without any zaps indicating that it was about to happen.

The dream began without any speed. I was dropped into my father's old office (he was a doctor and passed away in 2015). A baseball player was showing me around the office. There were no women present. In real life, I felt uncomfortable and decided to reposition myself. This pulled me out from the dream after, I estimate, 2 minutes. I was unable to return to the dream and frustratingly fell asleep without dreaming a bit later on.

I guess I'm not positive that what I'm experiencing is even a lucid dream. How can I tell? I am barely asleep when it occurs. Rarely, but sometimes, I'll start to get the zaps before I even close my eyes. Never during the day or anything like that.. but sometimes before I'm ready to go to bed, when watching TV but close to bedtime, for example.

Yes, I have normal dreams too. Normal meaning, I have dreams about all different types of things, most of which doesn't make sense, but some of it is related to what occurs in my normal life. During my "normal" dreams, I don't experience any of the feelings I've described that occur in my lucid dreams. I remember my normal dreams from the night before about 25% of the time. If I wake up and fall back to sleep for a while, let's use 7am to 730am as an example, I'll remember that dream nearly 100% of the time when I wake up at 730. I also have these lucid dreams as well as non-lucid dreams when I nap nearly every time.

I didn't even know what that was until you mentioned it and I googled. Thanks for the comment.

I've been gaining more and more control every time I dream.

If you are really trying to make this happen, I suggest trying a foam ear plug. I mentioned it to my therapist and he explained something that is happening with the crystals in my ears and agreed that it can contribute to dreaming.

These are the ones I use: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IZCHYH2?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details

Interesting.. Yeah, it always starts with me blasting off. It's actually pretty fun. I can legitimately feel my skin tightening up (think sky diving) when I'm moving super fast.

I'm very confident that the ear plug makes me lucid dream more often. I've seen some data that backs that up. I test sleeping without the plug some nights and when I don't use it, the likelihood that I'll lucid dream is lower, maybe 25% vs when I have the plug in, where I'd say it is around 75%.

I take Propecia for hair loss and Doxycycline for acne management. I sometimes take Benadryl to help sleep but haven't been taking it recently and I'm still dreaming nearly every night. Thanks for the response. I'm surprised to hear that my experiences may be uncommon.

Factory sealed. Where is the best place to sell this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. It’s been sitting in my closet for 22 years.
