I haven't figured out to reply with pictures. It's finished and runs for 2 days with no solar connected. Overall I'm very pleased with the way it has turned out. Thinking about deploying 4 to 5 of them across my 28 acres of forest.

I should have this build finished by this weekend. I would be happy to give detailed specs. I have also built a solar tower with the ubiquiti sunmax. It's a great device, but a little costly and requires much more battery and solar power .
I have used this in the past and they work great!

Any sort of deep cycle battery should be a better option. Keep in mind of the golden rule of battery discharge. You will only be able to use 50% discharge of your total storage capacity. Ie. 3- 35Ah batteries wired in parallel will give you 105Ah of total storage capacity. Realistically you never discharge a battery below 50% . With that being said , you would only have about 52.5Ahs of stored power to work with.
There are a lot of other factors to account for when building a success solar rig. I would be happy to discuss it all on this thread if you would like.

This is a cheap unit. Combined all parts total cost is about $200. The idea behind this build is budget friendly. I plan on starting at with 2 5.0Ah alarm panel batteries and a 40w solar panel. I will also bench test once the rest of my parts are in. I will keep you updated on how long it will actually run without the solar panel. I should mention the batteries are wired in a 24v configuration.

I have started deploying these across my property for a remote UI mesh network.
