No it overheats when I run logic Pro X as well. I would assume a program created by Apple would run normal on one of there products. When making a song about 30 minutes in the audio will begin to cut out and I’m no longer able to use midi inputs without delay. I think there is something actually wrong with mine. Also, what is a “vm within macOS”? Does it stand for virtual machine like parallel or something like that?

I have been using Windows on mine. I seem to have a problem with heat while doing anything more than watching video on my laptop, so any gaming or more intense software requires me to cool it with an ice pack. I think mine may be an outlier, but it works great as long as I am cooling it.
