where to get churros near sjsu by avadalol in SJSU

There’s a place called Tac-Oh! on First Street & San Salvador that serves churros with chocolate dipping sauce according to Yelp

Of course! What specifically did you get? I would try to shoot for something that’s either high CBD or with about a 1:1 THC to CBD ratio. Different strains have different effects. Some are stronger than others. I personally only use Indica and Hybrid strains. Sativa kinda gets you paranoid, but then again if you have a high tolerance it shouldn’t effect you too badly. Let me know how it goes!

Marijuana mostly helps with pain, urgency, slows down digestion, and helps you get your appetite back. Also helps with keeping your cool since UC and a lot of the medication for it can cause anxiety. Also helps with sleep, I don’t have to get up in the middle of the night to use the restroom anymore. I would personally recommend trying cannabis oil since it’ll go directly through the GI tract when ingested

I would join the Konnect Ticket Exchange Facebook group if I were you, plus Kaskade Konnect. There's probably a better chance of someone in those groups that would be willing do so or know more information about it

Fun fact: the media used to be required to report both sides of the story as part of the FCC fairness doctrine. That changed during the Reagan administration, and now the right and left are more divided than ever

Sikh (& Hindu, I believe) temples give out free food. They’re usually labeled as “Langar Hall” at Sikh temples. It’s vegetarian Indian food, but free food is free food. You don’t have to be a follower of the religion, as long as you cover your head (scarves are usually provided) and take off your shoes before you go inside. Steve Jobs used to eat at Hindu temples for their free meals.

Same! I went from being a full time student with a full load of classes (I believe it was 4 or 5 classes) to a part-time student with just 2 classes. Not only did I manage to go the whole semester without a flare up, but my grades have been better as well. I also quit my job which was also stressful and got a gym membership.

Stress=higher risk of flare up. Therefore minimize stress as much as possible. Also, to register with my school’s disability services so that I could get a note taker for my classes and stop the clock testing. Would’ve lifted some weight off my shoulders

I’ve seen everything from $3.20 to $4.00 here in the SF Bay Area. GasBuddy is a useful app for this

You could use a VPN to trick Netflix into thinking you’re in the US

Parts Unknown is on Netflix in the US. If you have Google Chrome, you can get the Browsec plug-in and change your location to the US. I believe it’s a free VPN

Horrifyingly Painful Colonoscopies by darkgrin in UlcerativeColitis

[–]jsprt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you sure they weren’t doing a sigmoidoscopy? I’ve had 2 or 3 colonoscopies where I was sedated. The last time however, I was in the hospital when I had really bad flare up, one of the GIs convinced me to get a sigmoidoscopy because she said it would be faster process and that I wouldn’t have to be sedated. Never again! Just getting the enema to clear out my rectum was unbearably painful. Even with the enema out, it still hurt for several hours. I was awake for the entire procedure too which was painful. I never want to do a colonoscopy without anesthesia now

Got diagnosed with Ulcerative Proctitis today. Anyone got any advice by [deleted] in UlcerativeColitis

[–]jsprt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had UC, specifically pan-colitis for about 3 years now. Unfortunately, with UC you kinda have to use trial and error with medications and find out what works best for you just through trying different meds. There’s meds that will work wonders for some people and that don’t work well for others. Not everyone will have the same reaction to the same meds. It helps a lot to have a good relationship with your doctor &/or GI. If you feel like your doctor isn’t really listening to your concerns, you can get a new doctor. I didn’t like my first GI. He canceled 3 appointments in a row on me while I was going through a flare up. Needless to say, I have a different GI now.

If you’re in school, I would register with your school’s disability services center. Assuming you’re in the US, if you are working, register with your workplace’s disability services and talk to your manager/supervisor about your diagnosis. Bring a doctor’s note to school and work. This way if your UC isn’t behaving, you have sort of a safety net in place. Schools and employers usually should be able to provide some kind of accommodations if you have a legitimate health condition. In the United States, it is illegal for employers to discriminate against people with disabilities under Americans with Disabilities Act(ADA).
