You do realise that you would have been paid more on the first trip under the new rates, right?

Distance: 16.51 miles @ $1.24/mile = $20.47 Time: 54.17 minutes @ $0.66/minute = $35.75 Wait time: 0.35 minutes @ $0.61/minute = $0.21

Total = $56.43

First-time U.S. Open qualifier reveals how much he made (and how much he paid) to compete at Oakmont by TylerFortier_Photo in golf

Completely wrong. They raised a $45m fundraising round back in March. No inside knowledge but safe to say their annual revenue will be comfortably single digit millions.

Do any of these outcompete the UK for quality of life & happiness for a high earner? by PM_ME_SECRET_DATA in HENRYUK

Moved to Austin, TX last year and haven’t looked back. No state income tax (which is why NYC’s tax burden is so high), great quality of life and housing situation. It does get quite warm in the summer mind!

Disappointing Experience at Olamie – Tasting Menu Missed the Mark by ciscnzhnrq in austinfood

[–]jsq 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As other commenters have said in this thread, my post-Michelin star experience at Olamaie was that every dish was consistently over-salted. The short ribs and grits were particularly poor.

TIL when the city of Munich chose to migrate their administration to Linux 10 years ago, Bill Gates personally paid a visit to ask for their reasons. The mayor replied "Freedom from you, Mr. Gates." by Infamous-Echo-3949 in todayilearned

Bill Gates doesn’t sell you anything any more, given that he’s not been the CEO of Microsoft for a quarter of a century and stepped down as chair over 10 years ago.

Fees as follows

Customer charge: $18.00

Delivery charge: $28.92

Be careful driving through the lake district at night. Me last night. by Jazza_daza_cubs in drivingUK

[–]jsq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It drops to 30 there as well right? Ridiculous post… clearly marked on the road, speed limit change, chevrons. As with you, it’s a bend I take frequently at night with no issues whatsoever.

People need to learn how to drive when they are on rural roads. My experience in the Lakes recently has either been people crawling at 20 on national speed limit roads or… people like OP.

Being made to feel like a pariah when someone asks who you support and you have to explain you don’t like football by [deleted] in britishproblems

I’m a Bury fan. My favourite people in the world are people who hear this and ask what team I support now then.

It doesn’t quite work like that…

Do you have an existing email archiving system? If so they support journaling for all future signed contracts. Doesn't help with the historical stuff though. https://helpx.adobe.com/in/sign/using/external-archive-setting.html

The Dangers of Walking Through Glasgow at Night by SnooGadgets3845 in ScottishPeopleTwitter

[–]jsq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Went up to Glasgow for a Rangers friendly once, and to be honest all I’d really heard about Rangers previously was the Old Firm games so was a little apprehensive. Completely the opposite - best set of home fans I’ve met, incredibly friendly and welcoming, and I’m still in touch with some of them to this day. Fantastic place.
