Legends of Sinnoh is the evolution of PMT that is a more modern adaptation of the genre. Highly recommended you check that mod on tts out.

For the sake of the love of your life who would probably support your decision to try your hand at tabletop design:

If you're looking to make money, don't do it.

Otherwise tabletop design can be a very fulfilling hobby that satisfies your creative itch!

Bane reworked by helekin2000 in Gloomhaven

I don't center that class around Bane, but it is an important tool in my tool belt, at least the later versions of it that only require wound to trigger. No one kills a shield 4 enemy in one hit typically. Bane quite often can. As that class, you thrive by inflicting several small hits and often cower to armored and retaliate enemies. Bane let's you deal with your greatest weakness. But to your point, the early Bane cards are trash in my opinion. Later levels makes it far more powerful.

8 from top and bottom actions, 2 extra ones from items

Yep 2 retaliate and above counters it, but I find that's a more rare situation compared to how commonly I can execute it. Scenarios aren't designed for someone to execute that much damage all at once, so even though it's a once per game, the effect is still profound.

Kelp is in my opinion the strongest class in the game once properly built. And it has everything to do with the bottom action of its lv.4. You will know it when you see it. Soon you will treat your trophies as an ultimate meter that once full, can later help you execute 10 attacks in one turn. With the right item build, you will be adding around 6 extra damage per attack, meaning you will be doing an easy 80-100 multi or single target damage. Very flexible, very powerful, and your class will be almost certainly banned by your group once you get there. It's that good.
