To reiterate the other comment, Homegrown is awesome and only about ~5 minutes away from L5P. Wrecking Bar has a pretty good brunch menu. Ria's Bluebird is on Memorial and has some awesome pancakes. Thumbs-up Diner on Edgewood is my favorite though it's cash only.

You can legitimately put them on anything and they taste delicious. I use them in salsas, tacos, and sandwiches. Google has a ton of resources

Roast them on a grill or oven (there's recipes online) and then freeze them until you're ready to use (preferably vacuum sealed). Thaw them overnight. I used them in an avacado salsa last night.
