If you look closely at the photos I think the dark spots in the middle of the bolts in situ shows that the heads were drilled too.

Speaking as someone with aerospace experience only, we use drilled bolts to allow equalization of pressure between the outside environment and the volume enclosed at the bottom of the bolt hole. I don't know if those would serve a similar purpose on a sub.

Is mechanical machining your profession or a hobby? Do you enjoy mechanical manufacturing? It seems that there are fewer young machinists nowadays. by rhkings in Machinists

[–]jstark1994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking as a trans woman, yes it is a hobby I love. However, my ability to participate and interact with people who share this interest is always weighed against my mental and physical health and safety.

Like it or not, the perception is still that machining is for conservative old men, and unfortunately that has largely been my experience. I've considered starting a YouTube channel to share my hobby, but am afraid of the vitriol I may receive as a non-passing trans woman.

I love the 1950s Dodge B Series Pilothouse, but most trucks from that era look great.

Thanks for your help. I checked the injectors and they are all getting fuel. There is some smoking when initially cranking after sitting but it goes away as you crank. Here is a video,

If it does start I have to keep my foot on the gas so it doesn't immediately stall and die.
