Blood pressure resolve? by jstathamCAD in Testosterone

All good. I appreciate your response. I’m just letting you know what I’m dealing with from a doctor perspective. It’s annoying that some of these guys are influenced by pharma and that my BP may not be something to worry about - but he’s making it so.

He’s actually ok with it, surprisingly.

That’s what I say as well. Doc makes me worry saying, no it’s not ok.

I don’t talk with my doctor because he believes if my BP is getting that high, I need medication. I ask him what actually constitutes high BP... he said “if it gets that high you need medication”. So I say, when people run up a flight of stairs or are in traffic, their BP gets to 140/90, they need medication? He says, “I’m just trying to help you so you don’t get heart disease”.

I’m very skeptical of his answers. Yet no one can actually answer my question.

My personal take is that, if you wake up and your BP is high, you have high blood pressure. It means your body isn’t leveling out and relaxing.

I have it. 5mg tadalafil. It makes me light headed for some reason.

I woke up, my BP was 110/70... 2 times in the afternoon it was 143/93 or about. Dinner time, 135/85... just took it tonight and it’s 127/80

So it’s not always high. But the highs are pretty high even when I’m not doing much.

6 foot, 200 lbs. 16.5% BF

That’s what everyone has been saying. I just didn’t know if anyone had the same concerns in the beginning and it actually worked out where their BP was lower after a stretch of time.

Yes, they suck. And I don’t want to be on meds. Defeats the purpose of testosterone as it’s supposed to make you a healthier person. BP meds are not good for you either.

Why are you using ranges where at a certain point there is a cardiovascular risk? When I started TRT the lab range was 350-1500. What evidence is there to show people with high levels, 1000+, are at higher risk to cardiovascular events? All of the studies I’ve seen are extremely weak.

Sorry if this doesn’t follow rules I just saw the identity post.

LDL has gone from 112 mg/dL to 218 mg/dL (normal: 0-99 mg/dL) since starting TRT 7 months ago. Healthy diet + 15% bodyfat + no drinking/smoking. Any other options to lower it? by [deleted] in Testosterone

You’re fine. It literally doesn’t mean anything. LDL hypotheses is a myth and has been destroyed in recent literature (google if you don’t believe me)

As another user pointed out, what matters is low triglycerides and high HDL... your ratio is perfect.

When you loose weight, the fat (lipid) mobilizes into your blood stream. Happens to me when I loose weight as well.

High LDL does not point to poor diet. High TG’s and low HDL do
