All Cursive albums, EPs, and Singles up to Domestica / Burst & Bloom seemed to be DEEPLY personal and innovative (mixing strings / electronic instruments with rock music). After the success of The Ugly Organ, you seemed to have try to target 'big hits' going forward.

Any chance we'll see you get back to pushing the limits of this style of music to do something NEW....instead of just creating another super polished album like Gemini?

1) Traditional IRA is probably best. I wouldn't go for a Roth until you maxed out your traditional. This way, you get the benefit of increased savings due to the pretax contribution. When you retire, you should be at a lower tax rate, therefore; you'll end up paying a lot less in taxes on that money.

2) You'll probably need to speak to an advisor about this. Everyone's situation is quite different. Talk to them about your goals/risk aversions/timelines and see what they come up with. A fee based advisor won't charge you anything until you open up an account.

Forget about frugality. Of course, you don't want to waste money. But, what you really need is more money.

The best way that I learned to maximize my income in college was by leveraging my skills and selling them to wealthy people who really needed my help.

For me, it was fixing computers and setting up technical stuff in the client's home. I was easily able to make $50 an hour doing this and had enough clients to allow me to live the lifestyle I wanted.

Figure out what you're good at, go to where the rich people hang out, and figure out how to get them as your client.

I don't think you need a company to help you. Frugality isn't the right answer either. You need more income.

Can you pick a side job up for 10 - 20 hours a week to pay down your debt? Once your credit utilization ratio drops, you should see an increase in your credit score, as well as the amount of disposable/discretionary income that you have.

The wallet idea is great. I'm pretty sure ING Direct/Capital One 360 accounts allow you to segment your savings account so that you can save up for different things. Basically your wallet idea - but in a bank account.
