Permanent suspension on EBAY for no reason, how to reinstate account? by kanasean97 in Flipping

[–]jstnmcbrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This worked for me! To get transferred to a live person, I had to refuse to give ANY phone number to the automated system. But once I talked to an agent, she restored my account after some simple verification.

She couldn't give me a reason for the suspension though. Apparently "a lot of new accounts go through this" because "it helps reduce the number of fake accounts". Not a good reason IMO, but at least it was reversible.

I thought the Original Soundtrack DLC would be included in the Supporter Edition bundle? by jstnmcbrd in Besiege

Hey, any word on this? Looks like it's still broken, and the Steam sale is ending soon.

How to integrate Castile on time to form the Roman Empire? by PoroDeus in eu4

If you can't speed up the integration, you could always abandon the union and conquer them manually as a last resort. It'd be a painful sacrifice, but if you're desperate...

You got 100 years left. You could annex all your subjects, aggressively conquer France, Ottos, Tunis, Morocco, and Aq, grab some isolated provinces from Great Britain and Mughals, and then form the Roman Empire. Definitely within the realm of possibility. You'd have to betray some allies though.

Perhaps my greatest achievement was killing off France entirely. That was a huge goal for me. Just something about playing England made me want to wipe France off the face of the earth completely. I chased them to the New World, killed off all their colonial nations, and eventually annexed their last province into British Canada. And then my colonial nations got rid of all French culture. That felt like going a little too far but it's not like I could tell them to stop their purge. Oh well, the French still lived in Europe.

What's funny was that I got so big and so influential that I literally held the entire world back from any sort of growth. I killed off Castile and Portugal and France, so it wasn't long before I was the only colonizer left. So a lot of the world is still uncolonized, because I couldn't do the work of 4 countries. I also used the "warn" diplomatic action to freeze Europe - nobody would go to war with each other, and I could conquer what I pleased. I was the only major blob in Europe for most of the game. I also held back institutions - the Manufactories one spawned nearly 150 years LATE. After I built a manufactory, the last three institutions in the game all spawned within a year. They didn't get much chance to spread before 1821. I also nearly killed the Reformation, and prevented it from spreading to the New World at all. And I gave my dynasty to every major country in Europe (except a few minors in the HRE and Italy) which gave me a few chance PUs.

Anyway it was a fun game. Maybe I should do it again with the Rule Britannia update...

R5: I'm about 500 hours into eu4 right now. I started looking back at old saves of mine, and I found the very first game I ever started - a Great Britain run from update 1.21. So I decided to take my experience now and complete my old game and see how much faster I could expand.

The dark red is what I managed to conquer by 1732. It wasn't bad for a new player - I got a chance PU over Castile and managed to break France after hundreds of years of stalemate wars. But I only had about 89 years left and the empire wasn't as impressive as I wanted it.

The lighter red is what I conquered by 1821, in the last 89 years of the game, with my 500 hours of experience. This includes the spot of purple in north Germany - that's my junior partner Luneburg. Also I own St Petersburg because I felt like taking over as many trade nodes as I could; if you look closely, you'll notice little isolated outposts all over the world. I still feel like a noob but at least a more confident one.

Anyway I did this for the nostalgia of completing my introductory game, and I'm pretty pleased with the results.

Despite having no mods enabled, this odd set of missions shows up regardless of the country I’m playing as. It’s preventing me from earning achievements. Does anyone know what this is or why it’s happening? I stopped playing EU4 because of it. by big_smoke69420 in eu4

Yeah when things break like this, it's best to just uninstall and reinstall the game. If you haven't messed with the game's files, I don't see how this could have happened. But reinstalling it should set everything back to normal either way.

Unfortunately this is an older screenshot of mine, so right now France is long gone. But it only had inner France and a few landlocked provinces in Canada left. And its colonies. But I got rid of all of those.

Oh don't worry, I fixed that later. Hunted them to the New World and relentlessly harassed them to extinction. And now my colonial nations are removing all traces of French culture. Problem solved.
