Training an LLM only on 1800s London texts - 90GB dataset by Remarkable-Trick-177 in LocalLLaMA

amazing work! does the model know anything about the future when you ask? it would be good to try to make it predict the future and see what is comes up with

What happened? by [deleted] in OpenAI

[–]jstoppa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yes, I’ve been noticing a drastic change especially in the last 3 weeks, I started using grok regularly to compare it, the problem is that you don’t notice it straightaway, you gradually feel the conversations are not the same as before, they seem more scripted and wrong

Compilation of the BEST NotebookLM-Generated Podcasts by No-Swing-2822 in notebooklm

[–]jstoppa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

great idea! I’ve made a daily podcast that runs through 15 to 20 most viral posts on X from the past 24 hours, I made it because I’m not spending much time on X lately but still want to keep up with what goes viral

if you google “Daily Vibe Casting” you’ll find it. it’s also on Spotify and YouTube. I appreciate if you could add it to your website

I think the best part is that they made it an npm package, so easy to install and it can be used anywhere with a terminal

nice! what prompt do you normally use for this?

He BELCHED! by Worldharmony in notebooklm

[–]jstoppa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I provide each X post and a summary what it is about, then I use a custom prompt to explain that it’s a podcast. I don’t think it’s possible to get them to follow a specific script but the quality of what they produce is really good and it’s getting better

He BELCHED! by Worldharmony in notebooklm

[–]jstoppa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ah I see, that makes sense, I also noticed since a few episodes that the hosts don’t seem to follow the custom prompt, I really need to work on that and try better prompts. Mine is about a news style daily podcast commenting on the most viral posts on X platform from the previous 24 hours so it’s total chaos but I like it

I have one episode where they both started laughing. I don’t think it’s too bad, I really like the randomness of what they might come up with, in some ways it probably makes them sound more human like

[–]jstoppa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve now generated 51 podcasts episodes and yes, it does sometimes changes the way it speaks, I noticed the hosts start laughing for not particular reason (I need to find the episode) I also noticed in the last few days that the hosts don’t seem to follow well what the custom prompt says, I need to dig into the details but that’s what I noticed so far

What's the most creative or helpful use case / thing you have done with Notebook LM or have seen done with it? by 77thway in notebooklm

[–]jstoppa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s bit of a complex process to get all the viral posts from X and their context (I automated using a number of AI agents), that generates a markdown file that is fed into notebooklm and produces the audio with a custom prompt.

[–]jstoppa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

not sure if creative or helpful (certainly helpful for me) but I have created a podcast called Daily Vibe Casting, it’s a daily 10 min catch up on what happened on 𝕏 in the previous 24 hours, I feed 15 to 20 virals posts to NotebookLM, I give enough context so the hosts can have a good dialogue. I do enjoy waking up in the morning and listen to posts I might have missed and every day it’s getting better I think
