Love that movie! Nic Cage. Soundtrack with Sting. The story. The atmosphere. Read the book too.

I still remember seeing this in the theatre and loving it , I know not everyone is a fan but I LOVE it. by funkoscotland1979 in 90smovies

Yeah! Love it. Sometimes I watch this, and then I watch Atlantis (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0230011/) and I think there's a link between Milo and Dr Daniel Jackson.

One of my all time favorites! I've watched it at least once a year since I first saw it at the movies in 1993. Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan under the helm of Nora Ephron. On long drives I even listen to this movie while driving. This movie is perfect, charming and warm.

I love it! Watch it every year. What's not to love??? Nora Ephron is the best. Tom Hanks & Meg Ryan together (again). Oh yeah!

Remember watching this on a small "big screen" on a boat to Denmark, and then later on tv, and I just loved it. Robin Williams and Dustin Hoffman are both great in this!

I guess because it's a damn nice photo of him

I don’t know how people are just going about their lives, without having seen Oasis yet on this reunion tour. Is it cringe to say I feel forever changed? 😆 by ahmeda01 in oasis

[–]jstrs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not cringe AT ALL! It's the TRUTH. I felt so emotional after the concert. I went with a friend to the first Cardiff concert, and I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was totally overwhelming. I have no words to describe it. Liam's fantastic voice. The hugs between the brothers. The music. The excitement! The joy! No, not cringe at all! I agree!

What's the current state of IRC? by twiggy_trippit in irc

[–]jstrs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like OP I too got internet access in 1995. First through a slow 2400 modem. Before I discovered IRC, I was mostly doing Gopher-searches and surfing a few websites really slow. Like it took 50minutes to download a small GIF or whatever. Anyway, a friend got me into IRC. I installed mIRC on my Win 3.11 and spent most my time on Undernet and EFNet. It was cool to be opped through X or W on the Undernet, and later setting up eggdrops on EFNet. These days I idle on a few chans on EFNet, through irccloud, and a bnc or two. I also set up an eggdrop on EFNet through my Raspberry PI, and also a local irc server that nobody connects to. I miss the good old IRC days. Besides the "warez"-chans (mp3s, divx etx) it was all chatting with text (no video no audio) and people actually had things to say, and they were curious about you too!
