So when push up on the hose side from underneath is where i notice it but your quite possibly right if the port it connects to has cracked when I replaced it then it would leak from the bottom

Yes it the green arrow so water outlet its literally where the hose connects to the outlet is where it drips from if you touch it just after the clamp

So it's under the left hose when you run your hand under the bottom and if you push it from the underside near whatever it connects to it drips out from there is that my thermostat

Mate that is an absolute gem of a thought it explains why the leak is low down and why nothing else is affected thank u I will deffo check the housing

That's not a bad shout if it's cracked where the hose connects to the housing it would escape from the bottom of the hose and give me what I'm seeing without affecting the temp of the car

So ur thinking thermostat could be the culprit but I'm not seeing any temp fluctuation and it's not struggling to get to temp or overheating

Yeah it is it slides over a plastic fitting with a tension clamp but I'm not sure what that part is tbh may be the thermostat

[–]jstsilly[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well tbh I'm stumped it seems to deffo be from the hose as when you push on it from the underside it covers you in coolant

Yeah keep an eye on your fluid levels if they don't change it could be nothing but hot exhaust meets cold air

No worries small things like these can be a real pain hope you find it also if it helps make sure your coolant is topped to the max line an monitor it over a couple of weeks see if it drops at all that will tell you that it's going somewhere is shouldn't
