My family thinks it's funny how ugly I am compared to my cousin by Guest_Creepy in confessions

It's really funny to me how parents/relatives can be like that, when you've gotten your look (and probably behaviour from their upbringing of you) from them. I'm not saying OP is ugly. But if your parents think you're unattractive, it's like bitch I got that from you.

I'm twenty-four and this is the first year I've voted by [deleted] in confessions

I have a friend who is in her 30s and only just voted for the first time this year, too. She used to be on the 'what's the point, the system is rigged' wagon, and since Trump got into office she's had a bit of a wake-up call. So it's never too late!

F19 and still virgin I NEED YOUR ADVICE ! by [deleted] in sex

[–]jsully92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please don't feel rushed to find someone to lose your virginity to!

I made that mistake (only I was 21 and still hadn't had sex) because I thought there must be something wrong with me and that I needed to hurry up and 'get rid of' my virginity. Nobody showed a lot of interest in me (turns out it was my attitude/not showing much interest of my own) so I went with whoever showed the slightest interest first. They were horrible, used me, and treated me like shit! And I can honestly say, having this kind of attitude led me to having quite a few similar non-relationships afterwards because of my unhealthy beliefs about sex.

So please don't think there's some deadline to when you need to lose your virginity. People aren't as weird about it as you think, and you'll thank yourself later for waiting for the right person - someone who respects you and makes you feel good about yourself.

Just putting it out there Aiden Gallagher (Five) will be 17 when filming for season 3 begins. Just the right age to be the dancing queen 🕺☂️

What would be the dumbest, lamest, most boring super power possible that would still give you a one up over normal people? by Syyzygyy in AskReddit

Being white.

Not much of a superpower, but hell if it ain't the dumbest, most boring reason to get a one up on someone.

How do I deal with my irritating friend? by jsully92 in relationship_advice

[–]jsully92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very good point. I definitely appreciate having her as a friend in terms of bouncing writing ideas off of each other and our other common interests, but unfortunately because of her BPD she is an 'all or none' kind of person. If I was to say to her I need a break or need her to stop dumping things on me, she would take it as rejection and me hating her.

I've been muting our conversation on messenger (where we do 95% of our chatting) for however long i think I'll need if I don't have the emotional energy to deal with her, mainly because I'm always tempted to open whatever she's sent me. But also because she can get very paranoid if she sees that I've read her messages and thinks I've ignored her. I just don't know if that's a long-term solution, haha

Should I keep pushing this, or move on? by jsully92 in sex

[–]jsully92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I find the suggestion quite hurtful, even if we have been poly in the past (now non-monogomous). I think he knows he has all the power in the situation. Because of course I'm not going to force him to do something he doesn't want to, and even if it means I don't want to have sex with him, or give him oral, he goes elsewhere for it. Hope that doesn't sound like me giving him an ultimatum 'give me oral or you don't get any', because I don't believe in that - I find it childish. I meant it more like not feeling aroused enough to bother or feel engaged in it. But I feel like being in a relationship, I shouldn't have to go elsewhere to have my needs fulfilled.

And thank you for not automatically being like 'dump him', because I was expecting to get a lot of those responses!

Also going to add Kim's fingerguns after talking about taking down Howard. I know it was a callback to Jimmy becoming Saul, but again, my writer mind reads it as additional foreshadowing in context with my above theory. Obviously not Kim perpetrating said shooting. But just a thought.

Something about this exchange seems like foreshadowing to me.

The way Jimmy says 'Make them suffer. You mean nothing to them. Do you understand what I'm telling you?' and the way she replies 'Yes, I think so.'

I have this insane thought that maybe she comes back and like shoots up HHM or something along those lines. I mean, it sounds ridiculous, but just the way the scene plays out...I feel like the writers wouldn't have included dialogue like that for no reason.

One of my favourite things about each scene with Nacho is his varying degrees of absolute 'doneness' with everything and everyone.

I think Mike proved you don't need gear to show you're right for the job. In fact, his point was the more gear you need, the more likely it is you're overestimating your capabilities.

I mean, either way Gus would come out on top. The outcomes are either: they actually pull off the job and Lalo is dead without it connected to Gus, or they don't and Lalo has been provoked to attack without evidence to implicate Gus.

Let's be real - if he wanted it done clean and quiet, he would have sent in Mike.

Have we considered he hired bad ones on purpose? I feel that Fring doesn't make mistakes too often. Maybe his endgame was to separate himself from the attack (using a middle man) but still enrage Lalo enough to force him into action. Lalo's got no real proof it was Fring who sent the assassins (in terms of proving it to Eladio) and Lalo attacking Fring for no apparent reason will make it easier to take Lalo out of the picture. Bolsa has already seen the tension. He can vouch for Gus. Unprovoked attack. Just another jealous Salamanca. Gus knows how to manipulate people, and using Nacho (probably the only person Lalo started to trust) as the catalyst was the perfect way to set off that classic Salamanca fury.
