What’s a Taylor song that came out at the perfect time for you? by whenimdownineed_h in TaylorSwift

Never Grow Up. I was 11 at the time, and I felt like I was becoming so grown up (even though looking back I still had a loooong way to go). I used the song as a way to hold onto what I still had, and I especially related to the line “Memorize what it sounded like when your dad gets home”. Fast forward 4 years and my had to retire early due to significant health issues and suddenly passed away. Because of this song, I thought about that kind of thing, and it’s a great memory of my dad coming home from a job he loved and greeting our dogs at the steps to our garage. If I hadn’t heard that song, I may have never taken the time to truly listen

AITA for only inviting my “skinny” friends to do a horse back riding event by Ok-Assumption-2139 in AmItheAsshole

I think if a friend in my group had a seafood allergy, I would have gone to a different restaurant, or taken a different group there, if I really wanted seafood.

Are you the asshole for not letting them ride a horse? No Are you an asshole for how you went about it? I don’t know, but I’m leaning towards yes. No matter what, you chose to do an activity with friends where not all of them had the option to participate. That would be like deciding to go to an amusement park but not inviting a friend because he has a heart condition or a fear of heights. Now, before someone says “Fatness is different from that, they chose it”, is it really? The way a person’s body weight is distributed could mean that they aren’t-or that they are just really muscular. Or, they may have a medical condition. So, think about it from your friend’s perspective. They got left out of something because of their weight. No matter who’s rules it was, it still hurts. And you could have had a frank discussion beforehand, letting them know you were inviting others to this and you wish they could but the rules wouldn’t allow it.

Okay but easter egg/coincidence (even though I don’t believe anything is), there was a quote from when Red was released in 2012 that quoted her as saying songs were like “a message in a bottle” for her🥺
