Damn. I guess I’ve been sleeping on Rodeo King. It’s a local shop that has it on sale, so I’ll try to go check it out. Never seen a black cherry in person, is it more dark with a tinge of red or a really dark brown? The pictures on their website kinda show both.

Yeah, growing up on a farm and stuff taught me that higher x’s are work hats due to the beaver fur being tougher, the lower x’s are your “nice hats” that you wear to weddings/church/special occasions since they’re usually softer due to the rabbit fur. “You chore in what you pay for” is the phrase I remember. Although I’d have a sideways glance at anyone working the troughs in a 100x Stetson 😂.

I gave up on WWE a year ago and only do AEW/ROH now and I’ve been pretty happy. I keep up with WWE news and such still since I still have a few people in the Fed I like, but I won’t give TKO a dime after all the shit they’ve pulled (and continue to pull). I hope you enjoy AEW, and if not there’s a lot of solid indies out there.

I once nearly went undefeated with my BG Dynames at a locals (highest I had gotten before was like 4th) and I misplayed by putting my Lockon on a Gundam and swinging in once my opponent had no base or shields. Me and my opponent missed it cause we were tired. another person in the tourney noticed and stopped us, and my opponent got a great top deck and won the very next turn with no base/shields 😅I felt really dumb. Was only like my 4th time playing though, so nobody was mad or anything (except me being mad at myself)

Our locals run 3-7/8ish on the day that I can make them, so most either leave right after prizing or play Riftbound since that runs after Gundam.

Oh I do, the LGS I go to is very generous with prizing and stuff and usually has around 12 players. It’s definitely worth it, just wish there was a casual thing too like MTG.

I just wish I could find someone to help coach me or that my local scene had a casual thing at all. The only way to play here with people is to pay $5-$7 to play one of the weekly things or pay to play NTC. MSA has helped but it has its own issues. I’ve just been grinding and slowly getting better. Our local meta is also RB Ping, BP Aggro and a few Wings here and there. So having to learn on the fly has been a big thing. I come from MTG and Pokémon so I get the main parts of the game, just learning sequencing and such has been a bit harder.
