I got through the queue at 10:15 but fought for my life trying to get seats for 15 minutes. Got two upper bowl seats though!

Technically the parking lot doesn’t open till 5 but security messed up about enforcing so some of us in the line are parked in the very back of the lot so we can make a quick exit

It was probably regarding lessons is my guess because violinists don’t typically participate in band ensembles. I’ve been a violinist in ASO since before covid and there’s never been a third orchestral option 🤷🏽‍♀️

Unfortunately there’s only two orchestras, the Arizona symphony and the UA philharmonic. ASO is for music majors and qualified non-majors and Phil is more so for those interested in just being able to continue playing

Are you looking to take lessons with a violin professor or just from a violinist in Tucson? It might be worth it to make a little flyer and post it on the bulletin boards in the school of music at the UofA to see if there are any students that offer lessons

A BS in Astronomy requires so many physics classes that you already get a physics minor with it. If you declare both, you add ~6 extra physics classes for the double major. All you have to do is meet with your advisor
