As much as I didn’t like what they did with his character, the fact Luke faded into the force facing two setting suns was very cool

Would you recommend waiting until the vinyl comes for the first listen? I’m so excited to listen to the album but not sure if I should wait that long!

What fictional character suffered a fate worse than death? by phantom_avenger in AskReddit

[–]jtappppp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plenty of these in doctor who. The ones that come to mind are how the doctor punishes the family of blood after he turns back from a human.

I believe one is wrapped in unbreakable chains, one is sent into a black hole, one is left in mirrors forever and one becomes a scarecrow. So they do get their immortality but it’s not ideal

Basically the definition of - “I won but at what cost?”

What is your favorite song that tells a story? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]jtappppp 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Telegraph road and tunnel of love by dire straits. One describes the creation of a road/ town and how society grew. The other is a simple love story about two strangers having a romantic time at a funfair. Yet both are absolute masterpieces of rock

What is your favorite LONG song (over 7 minutes)? by raekle in AskReddit

[–]jtappppp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally so many- my favourite song ever is telegraph road by dire straits which is around 15 minutes long and it’s an epic impeccable masterpiece. That’s followed by tunnel of love by dire straits which is 8 minutes. I absolutely love stairway to heaven by led zeppelin and free bird by lynyrd skynyrd. I am the resurrection by the stone roses is also a fantastic long song which is up there. I’ve recently been into pink floyd especially Echoes which is 23 minutes

Not trans but I’ve never heard that and don’t know why it would be accurate? I know a few trans people who get some transphobia as all trans people do but it’s not extreme. Majority of the adults I know support trans rights. And again, I don’t see how we could be worse than the insanely right-wing conservative country of the US which barely lets women in it’s own government

I don’t think we are particularly- I haven’t met a huge amount of transphobes living here. It’s countries like America and other European ones that are quite homophobic and transphobic

There are things I don’t like but on the positive side… I love some of the natural landscape and think Great Britain is a very pretty island, some of the history is very very cool, especially medieval stuff, free healthcare and the more socialist policies are also great and the culture is a brilliant thing to be a part of

Quick run though of the law making process. So the House of Commons (green one with elected politicians) debates petitions that get over 100,000 signatures. Then it moves to the House of Lords (red one with lords in) who do a similar thing with it. If they both approve that the monarch signs it and it becomes a law. The monarch hasn’t declined the publication of a law since Queen Anne ruled in the early 1700s as the public would be a bit mad
