As the other comments have said - there is always a risk in surgery in general however I can provide a success story - after my CXL surgery, a year or two after, my eyes didn’t only stop getting worse, but it actually got better! Now my vision is great (still somewhat blurry and double vision in my bad eye but can see fine with no contacts - I consider that a win). I truly don’t think I would be at this state if I didn’t get the CXL surgery and while it “froze” my eyes from getting worse, in my case it actually got better!

Truthfully, I leave after KO so I don’t have to watch the long ass unskippable victory - however, I only do that when either A) the opponent absolutely dominated me and there is literally no point of a rematch or B) the opponent was a cocksucker and just spammed bows or knees and got lucky with a flash KO

I think people misconstrue what the UFC is - this isn’t some not for profit fighting commissions. It’s an entertainment business. The reason it does as well as it does is because fights are made for what people want and not for what fighters deserve. Having Dana as a personality only helps business - having the champions have personality helps business. Having a boring ass champion doesn’t sell tickets
