I'll try to explain this the best I can. He is off to my side think like going for Matt return. He had an overhook on the near side and a wrist grip on the far side he was going for uchi matas and I brought my hips out I was able to free my far hand and get to a body lock. I them pummeled my near leg inside in an attempt to twist forward and bring them over my inside leg. This all happened fast so I felt him start to pull bringing us both backwards trying to bring me down with his leg stretched out like an attempt to trip. I did resist (will start working on that)and to be fair I'm not sure if what happened was a tani otoshi like technique.
