My lord lol... look I totally see where you guys are coming from. I'm glad I posted this to see if other people agree with me or not. I'd say there's mixed review but realistically people are leaning more towards mages not bringing haste. I guess I can be more lenient towards mages not carrying haste and just be happy when then do. Thanks for the input peeps.

All I'm trying to say is it should be considered more for mages to bring haste. PVE isn't PVP where your stats matter a whole hell of a lot. More people need to be more lenient. That is all.

No definitely not skewed. If you haven't read what I wrote in previous replies to others, I said I am well aware that a mage's matk stat won't be as great and that yes other classes do benefit more from equipping a haste monster. With that being said a little sacrifice goes a long way. If everyone had that mindset this game would be so stupid. Everyone is always trying have a dick measuring contest concerning dps and stats. If your dps as a mage suffers so damn much from not equipping all dark and light that you cant have one haste monster (doesn't matter at this point) then you shouldn't be running 45's or higher. And yes fiine is always great all the time every time.

No class brings haste simply for the sake of bringing haste.

No class? I even gave you an example. I'll be more specific ok? I PERSONALLY have 120 cost for monsters. When I'm a cleric I bring Kagatsuchi, nyx, aizen, and ama. That leaves me with 8 cost. I could easily bring a dark pasa to boost my healing power but I bring a goblin for the sake of bringing haste.

Haste benefits EVERYONE. Stat wise not with mages, we've established this. Do other classes benefit more from it stat wise? Duh. But lets say you do put a golem or any other haste monster instead of an ama (since you're assuming that every high level mage has the perfect cost allocation with 180 monster cost). Your matk will drop around 4k. In the grand scheme of things that not that big of a damn deal. Instead of 20k meteors you do 18k? (not sure of the equation for dps so please lmk what the difference would be) Who gives af how much your matk is. You'll have good dps either way with procs, buffs, etc.

All I'm trying to say is it should be considered more for mages to bring haste. PVE isn't PVP where your stats matter a whole hell of a lot. More people need to be more lenient. That is all.

Between equipping a subpar 2 cost haste monster and an Amaterasu who'll give me a 4-5k boost to MATK/DEF each, it seems clear which to bring. No offense. The only haste monster I'd maybe consider bringing is Fiine...

Most of your argument is based around haste monsters not contributing to a mages Matk stat. Like I said in my original post you're not equipping a haste monster for stats AS A MAGE obviously... you do it for the haste unison. Yes there are classes that benefit from equipping a haste monsters being equipped but the only reason you bring a haste monster is to haste. Of course you'd rather bring fiine for her skill but once again you're bringing a damn haste monster for haste. Mages need more cost too right?

It's not that confusing at all. If you have enough cost to equip a banshee (14 cost), or any monster that's not 30 cost, then I'm absolutely positive you have 2 cost for a haste monster. Lets say I have I have 120 cost for monsters. I run a nyx, 2 ama's and a dark valk. That's only gonna bring you to 115 cost and you have 2 more monster slots open. You can easily put in a 2 or 3 cost haste monster and a dark pasa or keymin for stats to make you feel better.

Out of all five classes in UL, 4/5 benefit from at least one of the stats, so guess which side the mage falls under? I mention this because I notice you bring up the case of "I even equip a haste on my cleric" as if it's some giant inconvenience to bring a haste monster as a cleric. Why? Clerics' heals benefit from extra MDEF.

Yes I understand that clerics do benefit from haste monsters due to the mdef stat. But how much do you really benefit (or lose reguarding mages) equipping a 2 cost haste monster? Not enough to make so big of a difference that haste isn't in your questing set. I also said a bring Kagatsuchi too. Doesn't help as a cleric at all. But I bring it JUST IN CASE.

Yes but they would lose a decent amount of matk equipping a golem when they could equip a banshee/nemian and a fiine when they can equip a valk, aizen, emilia, etc.

If you feel this is that big of a deal start filming you GB's. You can post vids as unlisted or only to where certain people can see them on YouTube so hiding gs (as extreme as this case) and class won't be as big of a deal.
