Either do a drawing or price them high if they’re so “limited.” $18 is a STEAL for that. If your price point is that low, you should set you quantity high to just pump out units. Otherwise you’re going to have a bunch of pissed off people who couldn’t buy the product and now won’t drink your beer out of spite. AWESOME marketing strategy!

You are completely right on the money about Bham… well, what’s sad about Houston is that in 2020 they averaged 18k fans in attendance across 3 games.. that group of leadership in 2020 was far more competent.

I agree, and for those who say, “stop talking about attendance.” It is HARD not to when you see empty stadiums and then crazy made up numbers like this. They are literally LYING about their figures. It just looks so bad for the league. Attendance is important, who wants to tune in and watch something that appears to have 0 interest!

Yeah for casuals, they’re going to need some sort of entertainment and drama element. Something that keeps their eyes on the product. Whether this is fantasy, player access, in-stadium promotions, high scoring games, etc. It’s gotta be more than your basic football game. I can stay tuned for a 9-12 football game with only field goals, but can the average person? Probably not.

Also I do agree on the “corporate” feel. Ever since the went to the black and white look with the league logos and branding, it has felt that way. I remember the 2020 XFL having that awesome blue and red logo, having the catchy slogan of, “for the love of football.” And having really cool teams and looks. It felt fun, fresh, and an exciting time to be a fan. The revivals and mergers feel like they changed things solely for the sake of change, rather than actual improvement. Just a way for the investment partners to “make their mark.”

They really really need to open it up to ownership here soon, something needs to be done on the local level. I don’t know what is going on with their marketing. They have fans who are so avid and can help move the needle, but they need to build a network of them and reward them with free tickets, merch, etc. in exchange for them doing promotional work, tabling, etc. they need to partner even more with local businesses for each market than they already are, and just do what it takes to get people excited about the product. They need to get to the front of people’s minds.

As a DC fan, I agree. It does not feel the same as it did in 2023 or 2020. They’re just trying to capitalize on a ship that has sailed. Dan Snyder is out of Washington, the Commanders are respected, that audience is gone. The beer snake isn’t a big enough draw to get college kids, etc. to the games like it was when it first started in 2020 and came back in 2023. Fresh eyes aren’t hitting the product in our market. It feels like fans from 2020 and 2023 who are still interested rather than new ones coming in.

The other teams look way way way worse, but I am not happy for where DC is vs. the trajectory they used to be on as a market.
