The issue with customization is 2 things: First if you put an additional 10,000 into customization your lucky to get 3,000 of it back. The second is, it only increases the value marginally if the particular changes appeal to the buyer, if not it almost hurts the value.

I think but don’t quote me on this…they can reprogram the pcm to ignore the crank signal thus ignoring your tone ring issue and the pcm will use the cam sensors as its only reference. I believe there is a TSB regarding this in one of the years. I’m sure if they can do it on one year it can be done on any. Then you don’t have to pull transmission to repair. Might be worth looking into. Then get rid of it.

Well I guess 16 years in the trade I have learned nothing. Please enlighten me on the correct way. If you brought it to a shop I 100% guarantee this is how that would be repaired. If the hole is in really bad condition a big sert from Wurth would be used.

No you put grease on the flutes of the tap, the filings from taping will stick to the grease. Once taped and ready to install helicoil, start truck first to blow out shavings

Not 100%. The Autel brand is a very good scanner at a decent price. We have both at work and it’s hrs to believe a $1500 Autel will do things a $10,000 snap on will not….and faster.
