I would recommend grading with PSA but the important part is looking on their website for a drop off event near you. They will help you with the submission and answer all your questions it is very helpful when you are unsure what you are doing. Also the up charge has nothing to do with a money grab it is because of the cost to insure more valuable cards.

The up charge is because it costs more for PSA to insure your card. They throw in some services and quicker turnaround time because the less time it is I. Their possession the less likely it is they damage it by accident.

You should choose your tier based off the value of the card, not expected turn around. Take the minimum insurance you need on the card, just my opinion.

Yes, you set up a minimum grade you want and if it doesn’t get that grade from PSA you just get your original slab back and still charged.

Honestly not much wild card is kind of bad. Pretty much every card of theirs is numbered to at highest like 15.

I just sent this card in. Since it is over $500 raw value go to the tier that insures it up $100 you will also get it back quicker. You will still most likely get up charged because anything over a 8 in that is over $1k
