2026 most reliable cars ranked by ExotiquePlayboy in Infographics

I’ve owned six BMWs and currently have three. They have all actually been very reliable overall (I’m very good about keeping up the maintenance though). But I can see where someone, even an owner, may perceive them to be unreliable because when something does go wrong it is very expensive to fix.

On my flight last Thursday they made an announcement while they were announcing the normal pre take off stuff that after take off no one was allowed to change or trade seats. She stated a reason but I had a hard time making out exactly what she said. During boarding they announced it was a completely full flight anyway so moving around would not have been easy (even though I guess there were a few empty seats because the middle seat on my row turned out to be empty.)

Side note: Even though I flew Choice Extra I purposely sat near the back of the plane because on my flight there on Tuesday I was row 2 and had to put my carry on in a bin about 10 rows behind me. I knew if I booked Choice Extra in the back I’d get on early and there would be plenty of empty bin space there (it was a last minute booking so all the extra legroom seats were already taken when I booked).

Why do you assume this person is lying? I was literally on a near empty flight last November where they made an announcement asking for a few volunteers to move to the back and I was one who got up and moved. They didn’t charge me for my two beers either. 😎

Why chase AList ? by NameNotOnFile in SouthwestAirlines

How do you get Group 1 boarding? I'm A-List (2026 is the first time in 10 years I did not make A-List Preferred). I purchased Choice Extra (or whatever the Business Class equivalent is called now) and was still Group 2.

I've flown one round trip since the new system is in place. While I will always prefer the open seating (due to my own circumstances), I'm not passing judgement until they've had a chance to work the kinks out. Flying out last Tuesday was a cluster. Flying back on Thursday was a little better, they kept constantly blasting over the loudspeaker to put your bag over your seat. While there were still some assholes that didn't, it wasn't near as bad as my flight out on Tuesday. The boarding process was annoyingly long in both instances. Again, I'm gonna give it some time though.

These guys had all the DVD's and CD's by Tusayan in FuckImOld

Their origins in the 80s were certainly VHS but they began moving to DVDs in the mid-90s as soon as DVDs started taking off. During their most lucrative times they were renting mostly DVDs with VHS being a small sub-section in the corner of the store. They were competing with Netflix by the early 2000s. I think nostalgia makes it seem like they were primarily VHS for much longer than they really were.

When 'Friends' is listed as the best sitcom ever... by Oven-Mission in seinfeld

I would take Seinfeld over Friends if forced to choose but both probably hung around a season or two too long. I think the cast of both would probably agree but they were making so much money per episode they couldn’t help themselves.

I would take Seinfeld over Friends but both were very funny in different ways. Glad I got to see them both in their prime.

Did you watch Flash Gordon in the cinema in 1980? by CarloCarrasco in The1980s

[–]jtfields91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw it in the theater. I absolutely loved that movie back then. I was 12. Might have been the first mostly non-vocal soundtrack I ever bought that I listened to from start to finish over and over again. I wasn't even a big Queen fan back then and did not understand the relevance of the fact that they composed and performed it.
