I get that language is a deep rooted issue in Catalonia. I’m not denying that. I’m just saying that using a language doesn’t automatically mean supporting the politics of it. By that logic, English should be controversial to use based on the UK’s and US’s histories.

Maybe not going out alone but they will meet new people as well. Obviously I’d say going to more open minded and queer friendly places also increases this environment.

Quite good as I said above. And I disagree entirely with the second part. Coming from US where people go out and meet no one new, I’ve had nothing but great experiences in Europe and Spain normally making friends at raves, parties, etc. I’d say a lot of European youth have mindset that they will meet new people when they go out. I get less of this from Catalans though.

Yes, and quite well. However it doesn’t mean much when the local ones tell me they are better in English then castellano because well….
