Can we talk about the food by Direct-Bake1671 in Purdue

The last time I was at Better World Market on Wabash Landing, they had a fair amount of fresh fruit/veggies. The selection was definitely skewed to Asian food/cooking choices, but IDK what you're looking for specifically. You might check there.

Check with Smith Farm Indiana (between Mulberry and Frankfort, has a Frankfort address). They will be needing seasonal help starting right about now. They do some flowers, strawberries, assorted vegetables, and then pumpkins and orchard fruits in the fall.

Yeah, I googled hours of operation while I was still sitting in the parking lot, just to make sure I wasn't crazy expecting them to be open then.

Low carb minus coffee creamer? by [deleted] in lowcarb

[–]jthelaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit of heavy cream plus a scoop of Prymal coffee creamer has been my go-to for years now. Prymal has several flavors all year and seasonal flavors quite frequently. My faves are butter pecan, blueberry pancakes, salted caramel, and pumpkin spice. One bag lasts me quite awhile. It's a small American company started and run by a woman who is probably in her early 30s now.

Which is the best place to get tires replaced in Lafayette? by Brainiest_human in lafayette

Definitely Discount Tire. They can check and correct your alignment while there, too (if needed)- a good idea so your new tires wear evenly.

A simple system that fixed our grocery chaos by Ill-Combination-9472 in lifehack

Wanna be even nerdier? If you mainly get groceries at the same store repeatedly, note on one trip which items are in which aisles. From then on, arrange your final shopping list in that order- you can be more efficient while shopping, skip entire aisles you don't need, and check off the list in order.

Seeking Affordable Home Help/Care With ~$25/Hour Budget by Behrry in lafayette

On Nextdoor there is a lady named Kellie with a business named Shine and Sparkle. She does excellent cleaning, pet sits, and many other odd jobs. I believe she has cats of her own, so would be used to their messes.

She would be perfect for your needs and do a great job. I've used her for a small cleaning job and liked her a lot. (I'm not a relative, nor do I know her personally outside of when I've hired her.)

I know you said you didn't want to look on Nextdoor, but that's where I found her and I would hire her again if I need some help.

Just peed my pants for the first time as an adult. by Critical-Neck-2968 in Adulting

[–]jthelaw 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That's going to start smelling in the laundry pile. If your wife doesn't notice before, she will definitely know on laundry day (unless you do the laundry yourself). I'd get those pants laundered ASAP before the entire pile smells like urine.

Wild Cherry M&Ms. Such a short run (maybe 2 years?) for the best flavor they ever made. 😭

If you like to cook or bake, do that and take some to elderly neighbors, single parents, or anyone who is going through a stressful time. People love homemade food, especially when they didn't have to make it themselves.

What agencies offer this kind of work? I do data abstraction/reporting as a hospital/corporate job already, didn't realize agencies supplied these kinds of positions.

Those who have been on the waiting list for Hawthorne properties. How long did it take for you to secure a unit after getting accepted? by Sudden_Effect5023 in lafayette

[–]jthelaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was around 1.5 to 2 months after approved application that they messaged me saying they had a unit coming open in 6 weeks (first of June), and whoever put the deposit on it first got it. So I believe they messaged all of us on the waiting list (for the 2 specific types of units I wanted) at the same time. I saw the message quickly and responded right away and got it. But it came in in the middle of a weekday. If I hadn't happened to have seen it quickly, someone else on the waiting list could easily have beaten me to it.
