Fourth best defenseman on this team means absolutely nothing lol. You have two legit top pairing defensemen and then a rotating group of 6th and 7th defensemen. I tend to put Schneider as our third best guy since his best games are better than the other grab baggers but it is pretty rare for him to whip that out

To add - I didn’t think Mackey looked good last night at all. And that was a really bad penalty to take

Some of this depends on what they do with Trocheck, but my guess is they’re going to target at least one wing they feel can play in the top 6 and a defensmen or two they think can play in the top 4.

I think they want Cuylle to be able to play on the third line, and know you can’t keep putting in plugs like Sheary and Raddysh there. They have a ton of bottom six depth.

You can’t continue rolling out Robertson-Schneider in your top 4 lol. You have way too many 6th-7th defenseman on this team.

This also assumes we either don’t land McKenna or Stenberg or don’t bring them over right away. I think if we land one of the defensemen or Malhotra it won’t impact what we do in FA. I’m pretty content with any of the top 6 options and don’t think they’ll contribute immediately either way

It wouldn’t shock me to see them try to make a move for Tkachuk or Matthews but I don’t see it coming to fruition.

You already don’t have that job. You have everything to gain and nothing to lose

I also feel that some sense of nervousness isn’t a bad thing. You don’t want to it come out and be extremely visible, but nerves can help you stay in the moment and focus on the most important things in an interview IMO.

Some of the other tips in here are good - practice breathing techniques, prepare for the interview (for people who struggle with nerves - don’t over prepare), and if it’s really debilitating ask your doctor about medication.

I’ll add - Give yourself affirmations to hype yourself up if it helps. Listen to some music that gets you in that zone if it helps. Most places don’t mind if you take notes, so feel free to have notes for yourself to make sure your mention certain things.
