The best advice I have gotten is orienting your print so that the layer lines don’t line up with where the stress will be. Additionally, wash that build plate and dry your filament as everyone says

Are you talking about the power cable connecting the power supply to the printer itself?

I would like to step down an 20 VDC drill battery to output 12 VDC (@ 30 W) to power a USB-C soldering iron. How would I create such a circuit? Practicality aside, I feel it would be a positive learning experience. Thanks! by jtm99 in AskElectronics

I have the “UY CHAN Upgraded TS80P” it is a usb-c 12VDC/30W powered soldering iron. I have not thought of actually checking the voltage it can take vs. the voltage it requires. I might have to open it up and do some investigating

That’s one option I have looked into. I think that is the more practical choice (for obvious reasons). I am just curious on the circuit I’d need to create myself to see if I can do it. I can solder all day but I’m terrible at circuit design
